They aren't going to prove that against Northwestern.

Beat a top 4 seed. They did it last year (although it was Utah, hardly a powerhouse), but that was the 1st time this decade. If not, I really begin to question of they should ever be considered for a 1 seed.

The true test will be next week against WVU. It's clear that Northwestern won't be doing much of anything today. Gonzaga's going to be swatted in yet another Sweet 16 when they finally get to face a real team, from a real conference, with real athletes that can actually dribble the basketball.

Why would someone need to see them against a top 4 seed to know if pass the eye test.

Anyone that doesn't think Gonzaga is really good, is delusional.

They're probably the same blowhards that think our team is going to blow everybody out, even though we don't blow anybody out.

Gonzaga definitely looks the most legit they have ever been.

Not sure if they will do anything but they look like they can.

Who cares about the eye test?

I care about results, and Gonzaga's tourney results have been mixed. They haven't flamed out all that much, but they also haven't been able to beat any big boys. When they get a 1 or a 2 seed, somebody else is getting dropped because of it, and that somebody often gets pushed into UK's region (see Notre Dame in 15, UCLA this year). So I think it's about time that they offer some concrete proof that they really do belong up where they're being placed.

Beating Arizona and Iowa State in Nov/Dec is nice, but we're still talking about a team that's finished with a lower SOS rating, every single season this decade, than any team that's made the FF this decade.

Beat West Virginia, at least acquit yourself well in the Elite 8. That will pass the eye test and the results test.

Omg, the Zag. Player blocks the shot through the rim, and it's not interference or goaltending? Wtf

Looked like offensive basket interference on the missed layup before the break too.
