Just could never quite make an impact. I think they see the potential by the amount of opportunity they gave him early on and it just didn’t materialize. To me he’s just not physical enough to be a running back and probably not quick/fast enough to be a receiver.
Yep. Good luck to the young man, hope he finds the right opportunity

Not too surprised, it was bound to happen eventually with how many guys we have in the room. Moulton will likely still be number one next year, and I'm really excited for McNeil's development. He's got those skills that you can't teach.

Wish the young man well. Glad he got to score a TD in last year's bowl game. Sure looked like the play he got creamed in the backfield vs MSU was set up to be a throw back to Gronowski, but he got lit up as soon as he got the ball. Glad we still ended up winning, but that might've turned out a pretty memorable play for the season had the blocking been there.

The defense knew that play better than Iowa did. It was weird

In my arm chair opinions he didn’t have great vision or patience. Great attitude and blocker. Maybe a transition back to WR is necessary. Just my take. He was passed by everyone it seemed

I am guessing Purdue will be calling…they seem to do well with our former players.😉 Also, he originally had committed to them. 😎

It's great to have some depth at RB! I remember a while back when we had to rely on a walk-on fullback to carry the load (Mark Weisman). He was a tough runner but couldn't make anybody miss!!

Still not as precarious as our 5th-string walk-on in 2004.
God bless Sam Brownlee. He lived the dream.

Edit: I think it was the win over Ohio State when it looked like he ripped off a 12-yard run (estimate from my seat). From E-Hawk to Hawkeye, we were lucky to have him.
