Yep. Good luck to the young man, hope he finds the right opportunityJust could never quite make an impact. I think they see the potential by the amount of opportunity they gave him early on and it just didn’t materialize. To me he’s just not physical enough to be a running back and probably not quick/fast enough to be a receiver.
Agree. Good luck at the next stop!Just could never quite make an impact. I think they see the potential by the amount of opportunity they gave him early on and it just didn’t materialize. To me he’s just not physical enough to be a running back and probably not quick/fast enough to be a receiver.
maybe on kickoffs onlyCurious what the plan is for Doll???
Replace Wetjen, maybe.
The defense knew that play better than Iowa did. It was weirdWish the young man well. Glad he got to score a TD in last year's bowl game. Sure looked like the play he got creamed in the backfield vs MSU was set up to be a throw back to Gronowski, but he got lit up as soon as he got the ball. Glad we still ended up winning, but that might've turned out a pretty memorable play for the season had the blocking been there.
Probably not a big surprise
Probably not a big surprise
Coaching malpractice to ever have started him in the first place
It's great to have some depth at RB! I remember a while back when we had to rely on a walk-on fullback to carry the load (Mark Weisman). He was a tough runner but couldn't make anybody miss!!Not too surprised, it was bound to happen eventually with how many guys we have in the room. Moulton will likely still be number one next year, and I'm really excited for McNeil's development. He's got those skills that you can't teach.

God bless Sam Brownlee. He lived the dream.Still not as precarious as our 5th-string walk-on in 2004.

Edit: I think it was the win over Ohio State when it looked like he ripped off a 12-yard run (estimate from my seat). From E-Hawk to Hawkeye, we were lucky to have him.
It was great. Good chance it was his longest gain of the season but that's okay. Sam stepped up.Indeed we were. 3rd -and-9, IIRC, and suddenly, 1st down!
