Was this really such a great gameplan by UC?

They played an intense, highly physical game against us and (predicatably) had no legs or fouls left by the 8:00 minute mark in the second half.

A lot of people are worried about WVU potentially employing a similar strategy. I'm not. They can try to run with us and hack all night but they are eventually going to run into the same problems UC did towards the end of the game.

This is not a strategy to beat the Cats as it plays right in to our depth advantage, but it may be the best of an number of worse options.

It is remarkable to me that people are saying that this UC team has figured out the strategy to beat us-- yet we still beat them by 13 and would have beaten the spread if we didn't take our foot off the gas in the last 1:30 to allow them to make the score look more respectable.

Guys, this team might actually be unbeatable.

Same gameplan as Louisville, Arkansas twice. Ask those 3 how it turned out.

when people say the other team was "physical", it implies good defense. Cincy's defense was average at best, we got many good looks
