Was the SEC exposed today?

Hard to say anything other than ‘yes’. Only Sweet 16 team beat a 13 seed. Auburn vs Clemson is big for the conference.

Also Texas A&M vs UNC.

Besides UT, the other two losses were to higher seeds, so I dunno if they were “exposed”.

Tnn and Fla both played solid tough games today. Just lost.

They have nothing to be ashamed of, they left it on the floor.

The SEC is what I thought it would be in the tournament. It was a deep league with a lot of good teams. But there were no elite teams. I didn’t expect any SEC teams to make it past the Sweet 16 and they most likely won’t unless Kentucky does it thanks to their sweet draw. Will be interesting next year to see if any of these good SEC teams can make the leap to great.

No. There are no great teams this year, but there are a lot of good teams that can beat a higher seed.

Florida shot horribly and Auburn was not the team they were before what'shisface went down with an injury.

Mizzou, aTm, and Bama really should have been in the NIT with us.

Kentucky wasn't great but they still have quality players.

The only team that pissed me off was Tenn. They should have made the Sweet 16 or Elite 8 at least.

No one went out on the opening round.

At least we ain't the PACed 12.

The league is a year away as there is a major influx of talent coming in next fall.

IMO, there was way too much hype going into this season. When you have two teams that were picked toward the bottom finish at the top, its a sign there are no really good ones.

Yeah agree. Depth was the conference’s best asset. That’s a heck of a lot better than years past though.

Yep, next season the league will be even better with incoming players and returning players.

Totally agree except for the sweet draw for Kentucky. They won the games they were forced to play. As a conference based on seeding only 2 are expected to make Sweet 16. 2 left to play tomorrow. Only 1 favored based on seeding. The conference has 5-6 teams in the top 30 and that’s where things have played out. Decent league but nowhere near exposed based on rankings and seedings.
Major improvements but still a long way to go to become an elite conference. Strong conference with no elite teams but nowhere close to being exposed.

Will be interested to see which star players in the league leave for the draft. But yes even the bad teams are getting much better next year. Vandy has two top 15 players and LSU has the number 4 class currently(this is according to 247). Should be very competitive but I like where we sit and what we have coming in
