He's done here at Rutgers. Locker room acceptance is big in team sports. He can or you can rationalize it any way you want but his teammates will feel like he abandoned them. Kid did what's best for him which I guess is fine in today's society, but in team sports it's usually not.
This isn't the Pros.where it's more a business.

From what I read today, He did not go up to the coach and state he wanted to sit, as the star ledger reported. He approached the
coach and said he was contemplating what to do about the possibility of red shirting, and the coach says good I'll start my ex-player
while you make up your mind. Can you imagine how happy this temporary head coach was when he saw this opportunity
to get his friend in. I bet he SHI his pants.
