needed to pick up 23 seats in the house ended up with 36. I'd say that's devastating to the Republicans. pink wave 101 women were elected to the house, 2 Muslim women and a American Indian. 34 seats still undecided. could get even worse for Republicans.

Dems won the house. Now they actually have to lead. Can they temper insanity with pragmatism? Tine will tell.

Just looking for opinions.
No, GOP kept the Senate and actually gained seats. Every Congressional seat is up for grabs in 2 years. These Seantors are sitting for 6 more! See how the Congressional voters feel about the Congress’s actions which will be in contrast to their campaign positions.

Call it whatever. Dems taking over house is big. Dems appears to take back Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania is big for the future. My comment from yesterday is one I stand behind.

I wouldn't call it a wave , a pretty good splash. Im anxious to see how the next couple years play out . Looks to me like more moderate Democrats won than way left ...except one & she should make all dems proud to ckaim her as high IQ....that ortez (sp)

No......not even close.......Repubs gaining 4 or 5 Senate seats does not equate to a Dem blue wave. These election results are nothing like 2010 when Obama and the Dems lost over 50 seats in the house. Plus...... Obama lost over 1,030 seats in Congress, state legislatures and governorships during his tenure.......That's not a wave....more like a red tsunami.

Blue wave, green wave....who gives a ****? I think the term was way overblown by the media. I think a true wave is every toss up breaking one way late by undecideds. The dems or gops could have netted 60 seats and it doesn't necessarily make it a "wave" election, imo.

I think the net result is that this changes Biff's presidency dramatically. This is no longer about hijacking one party.

It's not like they accomplished much the first 2 years. Hijacked? I don't see much changing.

I think all the talk about “merica” rejecting one ideology completely needs to stop. I think this election shows what we’ve always known, left-right makes the whole......find compromises and solutions.

Yeah, we've compromised to the edge of craziness already. No thanks.
