Who is playing today for the Royals but Bubba Starling! Shock of all shocks he smokes 2 homeruns in his first 2 at bats. Last I heard, he was having trouble hitting big league pitching, but today he was spot on. Unfortunately the Royals lost, but it's only exhibition ball anyway. Weather was sunny, calm, 67 degrees. Hate to fly home to winter weather tomorrow.

To be clear, he wasn't really facing Big League pitching in the 5th. Cam Howard is a Minor League reliever. But he is on an early tear this Spring.

True enough, except the rest of the Royals weren't doing much against Howard,
including Gordon who struck out, grounded out, and walked.

They ARE going to be bad, but I still think they'll be fun to watch. In a lot of respects I enjoy watching young guys more than I do the teams full of overpaid veterans.

My niece is dating a Royal so I will be paying more attention than normal this year.
