That's why I was surprised that Ben Sasse just got hired as President of University of Florida. Being a Democrat is the usually the main qualification required to work in higher education administration these days.

my exact thoughts as a Bears fan, as posted many times on this board

warren had at least some part to play in the building of the Vikings new stadium (by far the nicest stadium I've ever been to), and the Bears are completely overhauling their franchise

B1G is an elite conference off the field

Not knowing Sasse but wasn't he more of a RINO? Started conservative and flipped RINO? I am not from Neb.

He wasn't a Trump guy, but he voted along party lines. I guess that makes him a RINO in today's politics though.

No. If you look at his voting record, Sasse was one of the most consistently conservative Senators in the Senate. He was just outspoken against Trump whenever Trump said or did something stupid or unconstitutional.

I'm sorry, I was under the impression that the B1G signed the richest media deal in college football history last year

and that warren was the B1G rep at the table during negotiations

am I mistaken?

Being a Democrat usually equates to being educated so this would make sense.. Except for the Sasse part, but he is a bit of an outlier on the education side…

lol because being a useless college administrator is the only job many "educated" Democrats can get with a useless "liberal arts" degree. That "University Studies" degree isn't going to teach you how to run a business.
