I'm gonna be brutally honest here. Bilas used to be one of my favorite commentators. That was before he started being clearly biased toward anything and everything ACC. Not to mention, him defending that POS program, uncheat.

He also loves to prop duke guys up with really no basis. I remember the whole Jokafor>Towns deal in 2015. I also wasn't too fond of him stating that Cal doesn't develop his OAD guys. I don't remember the exact quote, but it was something along those lines. That's just a ridiculous statement, considering ALL the proof to the contrary. I mean, Bledsoe, Booker, SGA and Herro wasn't just coincidence. Furthermore, the job he did developing Towns was just unbelievable, honestly.

Last and not least, I truly enjoy his rants regarding the "flop". I've even seen him do illustrations (bilastrations LOL) of the flop. Pretty damn ironic to hear him discuss the flop and talk about it being the worst basketball play known to man. Then hearing him say it needs to be an illegal play.

The one thing you will NEVER hear him say about the flop, however, is that his old college coach was the very FIRST coach to implement the ***** *** play to begin with. Come on, Bilas, if you're gonna talk about how awful and dirty of a play it is, at least call out the coach that invented it. I guess that would cross the company line, though.

In summary, Bilas is nothing more than a fake and a phony. Who would really expect anything more out of a duke guy? You know the old saying, birds of a feather, flock together. :)

It doesn't matter who the posters are, spamburger will be here complain about it.

I can't understand how people let the commentator affect them so much. Bilas is just a popular punching bag because he dares to have his own opinion on things. How dare he.

Oops, I just did the same thing. Oh well, it’s okay for me

For a stretch from about 2008 through 2014 Bilas mysteriously gave up his formerly Duke-slurping ways and really did dare to have his own opinion on things.

That made him one of the best commentators around and he absolutely got credit for that.

Since then, though, he’s drifted back into party-line flopper bias with a vengeance. No one wants to listen to that BS just coz he had an objectivity addiction a half-decade ago.

Dude’s been REHABBED.

I don't complain about commentators too often, but Bilas was an absolute pain to listen to today.

Combined with ESPN's crappy coverage of showing people eating ice cream and Cal taking the garbage out, I'm not sure how I didn't smash my TV.

He talked about the flop, the flop warning and how stupid it was the ENTIRE game! You notice not one peep in regards to his former college coach being the founder and implementing the flop. I'm sure everyone picked up on that. You can't make this stuff up. Truly unbelievable!

Yes he did,and bitched about most everything under the son.He only mentioned Duke or a duke player 1 time by my count.I guess if you talk about every facet and aspect of the flop it is best not to mention Duke.

As you say once upon a time he was pretty good at the mic but now he is worse than Vitale. I almost wonder if it isn't like the WWE Face vs Heel (in other words an act)Between Bilas and the poor officiating college basketball is more sports entertainment than sport anyway
