I’ll take is a step further. I’m closing in on 50 and like my chances in a game of one on one with Lance.
Ware is not good enough to allow it to go unused. He needs to focus on his game and stop caring about stupid tweets. He’s not good enough to spend time tweeting. Why was the basketball not in his hands instead of his stupid phone?
Loser generation and that’s why everyone just laughs at these people.
First, Lance is a young guy. He is not a seasoned professional. So I think to be fair, we have to adjust expecting. Not that we will.
Secondly, human nature is at play here. I'd ask anyone to be HONEST about how they would react to an outsider coming in and observing them at work then being critical of their performance. The first and most natural reaction is self defense. Only with time and maturity can we self-reflect and ask the tough questions about whether there was truth in those criticisms.
So I give Lance a pass. Remembering in other comments that he cares deeply about his teammates, this program, his coach, and basically has shown to have his head screwed on right about things by all reports. And younger teammates have nearly all mentioned Lance by name as someone that has helped with their transition to Kentucky and our program.
Besides that, as knowledgeable as we may be as a fan base, we don't attend practice. We don't know what each player is told to work on or any personal issues they have on any given day. So he's not wrong. These days EVERY team loses some games. Meaning the best team doesn't always win. These kids aren't perfect. But they aren't used to hearing that, and they need to learn to accept criticism. But anyone who things that comes quick or easy is probably delusional.

What did he say that offended you so bad? What did he say that was not true? No one on this board (to my knowledge) has played for UK and know what the players are going through. No one is at practice nor in the huddle during the games. We do have moronic fans who tweet at these players telling them they suck, which I'm sure is mild compared to the other vitriol that is spewed their way. Just because they get free **** doesn't mean they don't have feelings and breaking points. People think these dudes are robots and should never react to anything and just shut up and dribble.
Also, we all knew what Lance was coming out of HS when he was ranked in the high 30s to mid 40s in his class, but now everyone thinks he should morph into Boogie or AD. We all knew he was limited offensively.
I have no problem with what he said and to be honest, I wish more players would say it. If you want to yell at them through your 35 inch tv, or talk about their performance on this message board, have at it. But like I said, once you tweet at them or go at them on social media, that is crossing the line, imo.

Little League Baseball is a great youth sport. It would be even better if a few of the parents were banned from the games.
I think BBN is similar. Our fandom , and this board, would be better if a few more were banned from participating. Maybe Rafters can develop a "I Hate Cal" section so the rest of us can talk basketball. They do this for political discussion so I am all for another branch of Rafters dedicated to the I hate Cal group.

Really my biggest problem with it is this is Kentucky and he’s making excuses. Calipari, if he was a real coach, would go crazy hearing a player barking at fans when they’re as unskilled as Ware. I don’t see how any of our fans, especially the ones that don’t have purple hair and wear tight jeans, don’t get that.

K-Fund donation, NIL donation, or whatever else you think matters does not give you the right to attack the players on a personal level. Calling them "weak-minded losers" or anything close to that is not acceptable. To do so means it isn't about their performance on the court and is about them as a person. If you think you have the right to do that, then you are the problem not anyone's performance in a game.
