5,000 people giving just 100.00 raises you a quick 500,000 toward a buyout...That takes care of most of the assistants right there...

I'm betting you could easily get 10,000 people to give 100.00 dollars toward getting a new coach...There is a cool million just from the common folk

How do you raise money from the masses to support a buy-out without publicly announcing the intent to fire Croom? What if you are unsuccessful with raising the money, but have announced the campaign? I don't think you could easily get 10k people to give $100, and I don't think you should count on that. I think the idea should be to spend the money now to buy out the coach and hire a new one and hope that the donations roll in when you announce a new coach. Then, if you create excitement about the program, people will be willing to pay much more.

Also, I think that this symbolizes the change in the way we get our media. Everyone knows that printed newspapers are going down the toilet. So, 5 or 10 years ago there was really no one with a platform to call out Rick Cleveland. Now, in no way is Bulldog Junction even close to the Clarion Ledger, but it does show that the Internet is reducing the traditional media's role. Just something to think about.

15K less than capacity x $25 a ticket = $375,000
Concession losses conservative guestimate = $200,000

Grand total loss of potential revenue as a result of people being sick of this crap = $575,000

Over half a million in revenue lost on the most beautiful weekend of the year.

The day I did that, I would have a mailout through every facet of Bulldog Nation telling them:

"We are bringing about change and we need your support. We are asking for a minimum donation of just 100.00 dollars to help our football program rise out of the basement and into the the upper echelon of the SEC. We need financial backing to make the type of coaching hire our University needs to do that and move forward."

You will be surprised at just how much money gets raised by doing that- ESPECIALLY when you factor in the excitement level of hiring a new coach. People, including myself, will be so excited they may give more. If 30K alone buy season tickets, you can get 10K throughout the entire University fanbase to give 100.00 dollars

Season tickets sales are going to be terrible next year if Crxxm is the coach. 7,500 of lost season ticket sales at $250 per ticket would equal $1,875,000 of lost revenue (not counting concessions, parking, etc.).</p>

As of right now, I am not planning on buying tickets next year. This past year I bought two tickets and gave the least amount I ever have. I plan on giving nothing next year. If we hire all new coaches I can almost assure that my decision will change.

I feel like alot of people would do this because they would feel involved and like they made a difference. Hell, I know 10 people that would give a minimum of 200 each...We just want a reason to make a difference...and supporting Crooms isnt making a difference
