Weedale Robinson's offseasons workout

4.22 40 time. In November he’ll smoke Hawkeyes. Wandale is easily one of the fastest players in conference if not the nation. Good luck.

19. I remember one time they shut the power off of my room because I wouldn't turn off the stereo. I had that thing so loud. My roommate had the $$ and he had this Carver amp hooked up to some high end speakers. Sounded great. The study floor above us did not love me!

Yes, all of these young African-American players and recruits need to know Nebraska is solidly MAGA country. That should really help recruiting.RollingLaugh
Well hopefully this staff is not anymore serious about making players sit for bad behavior than our moderators are about "zero tolerance" of political posts.

Quite literally they walk through the dorms floor by floor and go through the greek houses to try to catch people.

I dare you to drive through Lincoln without seeing at least a couple cops. Then the University has its own police, then the "Community Service Officers" who are truly the boredest of the bored.

It's really stupid, IMO. You're endangering the students and the city's populace by essentially forcing students to leave campus where they live to go get drunk/high and then travel back home to sleep it off. All feels more set up to make money than to actually ensure the well-being of students.
BINGO. That's how politicians think.

If booze gave off an strong particulate that is distinct from any other odor I am sure you would have been kicked out of school...but alas these guys choose to smoke a relatively harmless herb instead of imbibing in a substance that kills 100k americans a year and leads to violence and extremely poor decision making. When was the last time you heard someone say "I got her pregnant because I was high" or I punched him because I was high. We live in a stoopid world.

Apparently

I just couldn't ignore such a great setup. Thanks:D

Think there's probably a pretty pleasant team meeting coming up re: the wacky tahbaccy or nah?

It's 2019, how are you still smoking weed in your own dorm room? Can somebody get these guys some damn edibles so it's not so obvious?
How about just taking your pledge and commitment seriously. Follow the team and University Rules. Maybe they should stop listening to all the Pot heads on how to get around the use of Drugs. It’s definitely a huge Error in judgement. That more times then not will lead to your Dreams ending very Quickly. Drugs and Alcohol dose more to Shorten your Career then it dose to lengthen. Washington and Robinson need to make the most of there Opportunity in Lincoln. If they can’t figure it out. Somebody else Will.

is there a published survey about that?

In this day and age of fake news, you are going to ask for proof? Anyone can make any stat they want today and the people guilty until proven innocent. So you prove that I am wrong, not the other way around.

I understand a lot of you don’t think smoking pot is a big deal, that your opinion and perfectly fine, my opinion is the other way, And that’s fine also we agree to disagree. My point say coach frost or hoiberg have team rule, and say one of their rules just for example is no tobacco or drinking alcohol during the season. Even though tobacco is legal for 18 year old and up, its still a team rule and alcohol is 21. Yes to us it’s perfectly legal. But the coaches have there rules. My point is I really don’t care if wandale or mo are smoking a joint it has more to do with showing a lack respect for your teammates who follow the rules and lack of respect for your coaches

Right! Doesn't matter what they did. If Frost has an in bed by 9pm rule, and a kid is caught at a bar at 12, he still broke a team rule. Doesn't matter how minor it may be to us. It shows these kids don't yet respect Frost, the program or their teammates enough to put the team above themselves. Who knows maybe in today's world something like that doesn't exist. "I above all else" has replaced it.

Alcohol is legal, marijuana is illegal. No one has ever overdosed on marijuana ever. Figure that one out.

If I don't care at all about this, as long as he's on the field next season, am I a bad person?
No. Do you remember any successful, nationally relevant teams that were full of choir boys? Even BYU was relevant at one time and guess who their QB was? Google how his career ended at BYU if you’re not familiar.

Doesn't make you a "bad" person. I do believe that you should get your priorities straight. There is a plethra of literature available indicating the downward spiral if you continue to reward this behavior. You don't have a choice of which rules you want to follow. An earlier poster made a great observation that these choices show a disrespect for your teammates and coaches. No punishment indicates that the player is bigger than the program.

Except they are getting high with their teammates, and don't be so sure some of the coaches aren't doing it either.

Swimming against the tide. I personally don't like weed and I've never done it but I also recognize that if you have a football team of almost 200 college dudes, a bunch of them are going to like weed. I don't get how they manage to be so dumb about using it, that's really my only issue. IDGAF if a player does weed or not, but knowing that you're not allowed to I don't get why you'd be so careless about doing it anyhow.

That doesn't work at all, stoners just think it does. They're no different from smokers thinking they don't stink like smoke because they had their cigarette outside.

I don't care about or expect to have a team full of choir boys. But then I don't want to hear any more speeches from Frost about high character and doing the right things off the field.

Winning is all that matters, otherwise Mike Riley and Tim Miles would still be employed here.

I don't think it's as mutually exclusive as you're making it out to be. Frost can have high expectations for the character of his team and doing the right things off the field while also having to deal with some players getting in trouble. People don't just automatically fall in line and you can't throw them to the wolves when they don't live up to your expectations either.

It's about how they manage the situations when they come up. I don't believe you have to throw anyone who has a run-in with the law off the team in order to care about character and responsibility.

This is 100% true. Campus police walk the hallways of the suites trying to smell weed. Plus on everybody's door they put all the roommates names on the door.

The reality is MJ isn't that big of a deal, and I have an alcohol problem.

If alcohol was invented today there is no way it would be legal.

Maybe we'd be smoking it instead.

It's all bad, in excess, in public and on the roadways.

It's not a moral issue, nor is it economic. It shouldn't be demonized.

Let's just be rational about the situation, instead of being archaic in our perspective.
