Not surprised given the bowl game and season too. His stock won’t get any higher next year. Right move.

I agree, now is the time for him to do it, but he isn't going to be very good. Lacks top end speed for his size.

I think he can carve out a space in the NFL as a slot guy. He has a knack for making the first guy miss.

Decent college player. Will be interesting to see if he can make it in the NFL. With his stature, even a small role would be a big accomplishment. Good luck to him.

Why do you consider it hate? The kid is a decent player, but his size is a problem for the NFL. He might pan out, but probably plenty of other players will go before him because of their measurables. NFL is all about potential and hitting measurables.

I don't see any hate for him. However, the hard-on some have for him is beyond strange. Like truly bizarre.
I don't have a hard on for him.. Everyone in the Vaugh v Wandale page.. go look at the hate. Calling the 2nd leading WR in the SEC decent? like come You all are mad he left us still

all the people talking about his size are just telling on themselves that they don't watch the NFL and haven't in 10 years.

basically every team has multiple WR under 6' these days, and those guys do just fine in the man's league.

This is the kind of thing potential recruits notice. Frost’s reputation as an offensive-minded coach is beyond repair. He is dead man walking.

eh, maybe. toure transferred here and put up 900 yards receiving playing against 4 top 10 teams and roughly 6 total ranked teams, without a 13th game. kentucky was a good team but only played 2 ranked teams all year.

This is probably why there is still some hate here. I dont get worked up over this kind of thing, but I still think he is a douche.

Yes, Toure transferred here last year. Last year. I’m talking about this year and beyond.

Since then, preseason hopes for a bowl replaced by 3-9 reality. HC forced to fire 4 coaches to barely save his job. Everybody knows he’s on super thin ice, and he will be fired on Oct 1 if this fifth season resembles any of his first four. And we have a well-known player publicly stating he’s going to the NFL thanks to his decision to get away from Frost.

Perhaps you think none of that really matters to recruits. I counter with the fact that 2022 will be the worst ranked recruiting class since rankings have been around.

I wish Nebraska could have been able to keep him but it didn't work out, Good luck to him and I hope he kills it.

You have a short memory. Was Jergens asking to be put on the offensive line or was he steered in that direction? If he plays in the NFL, it will be because Frost found a better spot for him and developed him. And trust me, I'm no Frost defender. But you are misguided.

Makes sense, his stock is about as high as it will get.

Obviously, his size is the biggest question but small WR have had success so he could as well. Really, his size probably makes this a good decision too, one more extra year in the pros when you have to consider durability at his size. Not a knock on him, just a practical concern. I hope he kills it, always liked him.

Agreed. He'll get his opportunity and he'll make a little bit of money. Way too early to project how he will do long-term. There are some elite players under six feet or right at 6 ft. I'd be curious to see how he measures up speed wise.

I think he knows it's a problem which is why he's fudging on his height.

Hope he can find a team that will use him in his skill set. He can be an NFL guy but within the right system.

Will find out who to trust and not to trust when the contract gets signed.

I wonder why he has never been a punt returner in addition to slot. Given his ability to make first guy miss etc. he has good hands. Seems like he could have been used there

I bet he is in CFL in a couple years and is wildly successful.

I think he'll stick around the NFL for awhile, but with the little differences in the CFL he probably would do really well up there if that ended up being an option.

Injury concerns maybe? Punt and kick returners take some HITS.

I recommend you take some remedial reading comprehension classes.

But perhaps some recruits will be impressed by Frost’s decision to switch a TE to center, his inability to coach out the snapping issues for over a season while play by play callers mocked us, and overall development that wasn’t enough to earn an invite to the NFL combine.

he's no smaller than Braxton Berrios, Christian Kirk, Tarik Cohen, Jakeem Grant, Dionte Harris, etc.

heck, there are 4 skill guys on active rosters *listed* at 5'6", which means they're probably more like 5'4"

his size won't hold him back

Frost has coached a Heisman winner and multiple finalists. He has put numerous guys in the NFL doing exactly what Wan'dale was recruited to do. Wan'dale himself was a Hornug finalists as a true Freshman playing for Frost. Acting like some childish comments from this kid over rides that all is just silly.

You know what all of those guys have? Elite Speed.
