Choke job. 30, 23, 25...................14

14 points in the 4th quarter in an elimination game. The Wizards are a long way from being a true contender. Wall really should have thought about making a move.

Its gonna be hard to bring in Boogie with 3 max contracts already on the roster unless you trade one of them. Otto Porter and his ridiculous deal and mediocre production is their main problem.

Boogie being able to get another max contract is really up in the air with this injury. Historically, players either dont come back from it and if so not at all at the same level production wise.

I believe Boogie comes back and plays near the same level he was when he left. It just might not be until May of 2019 if the Pels are still in the playoffs.

He's gettin paid, in the era where the Otto Porters of the world are getting max deals, Boogie is a shoe in for one.

His age and lower "mileage" is defintely a plus. His style of play relying on his size more than athleticism is prob also a plus. However history and the odds concerning this specific injury are not in his favor, but we are all rooting for him.

Wall seems to be the problem in DC. The players have indirectly said that they have more fun and function better when he’s injured.

Wiz are destined to be keeerap. They would go no where fast with out wall and the 14 assist he was throwing around per game in the play offs. Yeah let Beal run point or whatever other spare part they have on the roster, sounds great. Too bad he locked up with them, shold have known better...

He and Beal don't like each other, from what I gather. I'm not going to bash Wall nor will I go to bat for him because I've seen him try to do too much too many times and lay an egg.
They seem to be cool off of the court . Wall has publicly promoted Beal for all-star games and vice versa . It’s weird though because there is always rumors of a rift between the two .

I definitely know Wall and Gortat have some issues though.

It’s more than just the statsheet. It’s off the court relationships, the players don’t like the dude. If he didn’t come to UK I’m sure you would be roasting him. Not making Wall to be the bad one, but it’s clear the Wiz players don’t enjoy him being around. The Wall/Beal experiment has run its course.

Roasting him for what exactly?

DC is ruining his knees? He had an Achilles injury, he's way ahead of schedule on his recovery, he'll return to the same player he was. Kobe was in his mid-late 30's when he had this injury and a million injuries before it. DC will return to the pelicans hopefully and he'll be the same best big man in the NBA as he was before the injury (1b behind AD who is 1a as far as best big men in the world). Cuz was putting up insanely historical numbers that some of which have never been done before, or only one player ever (like Kareem) had done before, before his injury. Man will go down as an all time great like AD.

Wall always gives shout outs to Beal on Instagram, pictures of both of them together and calls Beal “his brother.”

Which players “don’t like Wall?” What makes you say that ? I’ve never heard anything more online gossip and online rumors ...

At one point a couple couple years ago they both admittedly had a strained relationship and weren't friends. Over the last couple years though they've become great friends and worked thru their differences. Definitely no issues with them as far as recency goes.

Here is the problem for Wiz....next year's salary:

Porter - $26M
Beal - $25M
Wall - $19M
Mahimi - $15M
Gortat - $13M

-The Porter contract is going to sting for 3 more years for essentially a spot up 3pt shooter who can't create a lick off dribble, can't post, isn't a high level defensive player, not a great rebounder, etc...
- The bigger problem contract is Mahimi....the guy is bad for even for a back up Center.
- The last lingering problem is Oubre's contract is up next year and I'm not sure Wiz can keep him

So the current roster needs upgrades and only Oubre looks like a player with potential to grow into...maybe Porter can improve as well.

I’m paraphrasing here but during Walls injury, the Wiz were playing better and had a winning streak in place. Beal came out and said that the team plays better without Wall and that they have more fun without him . That’s not something you say about someone you like or respect.

Look, not here to put Wall down but it’s obvious it’s not working in DC. Between him and Beal, the latter seems to be more respected so it’s probably best for Wall to go elsewhere.

For the same things many on here roast KU’s, UofL’s, UNC’s and Duke’s players. Here are some.

-for not winning the big games
-lacking a jump shot
-not being known as the most respected pg
Pssh, John Wall balled out this series and every other series hes been in. That's just hater nonsense, you can participate in that, I wont.

Which Duke, KU, UL or UNC players get roasted? Give me names and I'll tell you specifically why they get roasted and why it doesnt apply to Wall. I suspect you want because haters need to be as vague a possible to widen their web of hate.

I don’t care if he balled out. Did the Wiz win the series? What seed were they? Not to mention in the East. Wall is a terrific talent, but he’s been in DC for 8 years now and nothing has happened. And he’s got decent talent around him, and playing in the East.

Except the theory that "Wiz are better without Wall" proved to be fool's gold. After a hot start after Wall was hurt...the Wiz tumbled to reality w/o Wall going 5-10 in last 15 games and barely held on to 8 seed.

The Wiz are not better w/o Wall. That roster is not going to make playoffs w/o Wall for sure.

DC = District of Columbia

Three knee surgeries since summer 2016:

In a potentially crushing development to the Washington Wizards’ push for a high playoff seed, all-star point guard John Wall is expected to miss six to eight weeks because of ongoing issues with his left knee.

The procedure will force Wall to finally and sufficiently rest his injured knee, which has ailed him since the 10th game of the season.

The Washington Wizards announced that point guard John Wall underwent surgery on both knees Thursday morning in Cleveland and will begin a rehabilitation process immediately.

They were 15-12 without him. It was a short spurt of improved play, which is not that unusual. They were forced to play differently, and it worked for a bit, but ultimately, they slid to the #8 seed.

Walls knee issues started when had his stupid Reebox shoes, he said the tread on them made his knees feel like he was running downhill, guess they were elevated to a degree.

Porter was a huge mistake, most of their drafts have been huge mistakes..could have had a a couple of Klay T, Kawhi, Giannis or Steven Adams.
