Walker can not be happy about OSU's recent backfield signing. This can only be good news for RU.
No kid is committed until Feb. when he signs his name.
Flipping is a part of it, which is why I try to not follow this stuff too much anymore.
Not saying Walker will flip to us or anyone else, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if he winds up somewhere other than OSU. Getting first verbal these days is almost the kiss of death.

This is the 2nd time he has visited Rutgers since committing to OSU, btw.
OSU has gotten commits from another top RB and are about to get another, since he committed to them.
So is he having serious 2nd thoughts? Lets hope so!

This. I don't know why people keep pushing the idea of courtesy visits or a nice place to sound the day. For Walker to get there one of his coaches has to pick him up and drive him. It's not like he hope in his own car and shoots down the parkway. It's a commitment for multiple people.
Walker, JG and Gary can chose the situation they think is best for themselves. No issue with that.
But all three talked before last season about going to Rutgers together, and JG said, and I am paraphrasing, we are waiting to see how competitive RU is in the BIG his year. Well, they got their answer, 8-5, we are competitive.
So what is holding them back now? Come on guys, you saw we can compete without you, imagine what we could do if 3 guys like you come to RU and lead the charge for more recruits.
None of the three are going to be saviors, football is much more than 3 players as we all know, but if those 3 guys came on board, I really think it could open the "floodgates" for recruiting.

I doubt Walker is seriously interested in them, though as he seems like a kid who wants to play on a team with a legit chance to compete for titles. No offense to Rutgers, but that isn't them.

It's a long, long ways to NSD. We could end up losing Walker who made a statement to ESPN that he's concerned about the OSU RB depth. Who knows what happens ? I know we're close to getting another 2017 RB commitment from an Ohio kid rated high called Sibley who I've seen play. A super high school back. Stay tuned. An early commitment doesn't mean anything solid anymore except that school is currently at the top of the kid's current list. Hell, we'll probably all be surprised if we go back on NSD 2016 and look/compare today's prosects/commitments to who really signed with both Rutgers and OSU. It sounds like OSU is really going to have to work hard to keep Walker though.
