If a walk-on commits and signs with a school, are they held to the same transfer guidelines, etc. as a scholarship athlete? Basically if they sign today, could they back out if they receive a scholarship offer from another school later and instead sign with them in February, or would they have to sit out a year (or be released of their letter of intent). Wasn’t sure how that worked since they wouldn’t be getting free tuition and many of the other benefits of a scholarship athlete.
Had just seen that Wisconsin announced a class of 26 that included 7 walk-ons
