Varina started the game off rough but ended it with a hard nose effort. Most of these kids are underclassmen. The Bluedevils are gonna be scary next year. Wakefield had one Heck of a team as well. Dude for Wakefield played like Charles Barkley down low. Entertaining game indeed.

Armando Bacote..Top 3 center for the class of 2019. MONSTER! He plays at Trinity here in RVA. Varina beat them in a scrimmage (forfeited because of a fight but I claim Varina the winners) and Trinity beat Varina by 3 in the RTD championship. Varina imo was the best public school team in the whole state this year.
He should just transfer back to Varina... Why not
Kudos to WWBT-12 for their outstanding coverage of not one but two area HS basketball teams winning state titles. Hopefully there will be more on their six o'clock coverage tonight. Last night's coverage was embarassing to say the least. I'm a little biased here because I wanted to hear from Coach Lacey and his thoughts. If Cosby and Varina got 45 seconds of air time I would be shocked. I can't get TVR and I don't think RIC is still offered where I currently live, so WWBT is it.
Trinity won’t be very good next year. If he came to Messer Rd, Varina would be nationally ranked and unbeatable next year lol!! I’d like to see them play Oak Hill if he did come back.
I don't know if that will be true or not based on what I saw last night! However, you my young friend have spent 4 years at VCU and much more time in the capital city than I will ever spend, so I think you would know much more than me! I just thought with 2 state champs, you would at least have some interviews or something???
