UNC76, I disagree with you on the ND game. ND just came out and kicked our butts, bottom line. No excuses. That falls on CB and her staff not having a good game plan against them. They beat us at least by 20. CB's game plan for the ND game sucked. Duke and NC State played them before we did and the only thing our coaching staff had to do was to follow the blue print that Wes and Kara laid out. Teams who have beaten ND this followed the script that was shown by Kara and Wes. Get the ball out of HH hands and make the other four beat you by sending double and triple teams when she gets the ball. Also, NC State did not have a hangover after losing to us. They came out on Thursday and today and kicked those teams butt. Stop making excuses for CB. Just admit that ND beat us. Now on to today's game. Great game plan today by CB and Staff. Great way to get players who have not played much a chance to play. I was glad to see BT, EA, and LH play extended minutes. The next couple of games coming up are going to be brutal. We are going to need those three moving forward. Just having BT in the inside helps out tremendously because of size and length. LH and EA needed to play more today to get their swagger back. Overall, we took it to Wake and did what great teams do which is to put them away early. Now on to the next game. Go Heels!

Does it appears to anyone else that the team appears to have a better offensive flow without Regina Kelly? Maybe this game was not a good parameter of her absence, but the team seem to be in a more of a free motion type of offense. JMHO!

Which Nyla are you referring too. If it is Nyla Harris, then I would say she is one of our best players along with IN and LG. These three bring different things to the table that is needed for us to have a chance to win. NH brings the inside presence that we need and rebounding. IN brings an overall game that is needed as for as rebounding, scoring, assist, etc. LG brings outside shooting, rebounding, etc. NB is coming. You can see her rebounding and getting better defensively, and shooting too. The other freshmen contributes as well. To be honest, we have a lot of players that can hurt you on a given night which is good because it makes it hard for other teams to scout and to focus just on one or two players. This is what CB stated in her press conference.

Really liked the lineup and the way the ball moved when LG was at 1, Nivar at 2, Hull at 3, NH, and CT at 4 and 5. One of the better and more complete games from this group that I’ve seen in a long time!

Wake is much worse than most of the P4, not a good barometer. There is a reason CB chose this game (and maybe the next one) to sit RK for rest. The other ACC games we played against a 100+ ranked ACC team were BC who we beat 90-39and FSU 82-55. The upcoming SMU and Pitt games should be similar romps, knock on wood.

wake allowed us to get into transition repeatedly. That is a strength of Aarnisalo, but we also saw Grant, Brooks, even Toomey and especially Nivar running the break. That, and open Tar Heels made their threes.

I made the same comment and that bothers me because I really appreciate Reniya.

RK is clearly not at a 100% as we were told. This is what I reading with CB sitting and resting her for the next two games. She might have come back to soon IMO.

It is pretty obvious Jriv that RK is day to day. When her knee is bothering her she cannot get proper/normal
elevation on her shot and it comes out kind of flat.

I would guess she might play 5 to 10 minutes vs SMU if at all to be rested up for the huge dook game.

Who told us Kelly was 100%? Our staff famously tells us nothing about player health. The only reason we know RK was throttled in the off season was that RK dropped in a a preseason interview, when a reporter asked her what she worked on in the off season. The only reason we learned she had arthroscopic surgery was an analyst commentator dropped it during a game about a third through the season.

The one thing we have always been told regarding RK was that her minutes would be managed to guard against season wear. We were told that restrictions would be lightened at the turn of the year, but I don't recall anyone saying that restrictions would be totally gone permanently nor that she was 100%.

The other thing we know about this staff is that they will definitely shut down a player who is injured and err on the side of caution. There are a dozen examples across the CB tenure so far. If RK was cleared to play more in Jan I feel pretty confident that was the best medical advice available.
