Where are they? This crowd is small. I figured WF would have a bunch since it was originally A&M.
We literally have about 60% of the amount of fans that they have here. Being that they had a month to mobilize it is beyond embarrassing in my humble opinion.
Wake Forest has a tiny fan base probably the smallest in all of the P5.
Their average home attendance in 2021, with 5400 undergrads, is 26K.
So what? They had a month to mobilize, went 10-3 this season and almost won their conference. Absolutely pathetic.
You should be banned for even asking that question
Even the local news recognized Rutgers travels well
Its a very small fanbase and they are a basketball school
Their fans definitely would've been swallowed up by TAMU fans had the original matchup held.
I don’t give a **** what a small school you are. If you have a month to mobilize your Fanbase, with that record and almost winning your conference, you should have more than 7 or 8000 fans here at best.

They packed West Point visiting seats
They had some disappointments near the end with 3-3 record
They lost a top WR for this game. Coronavirus cancellations were sketchy etc.

That's not really fair. That's almost half their fan base. Pretty good showing for Winston Salem Community College.
The stadium shots were pretty pathetic overall with regard to attendance. Another ESPN made for TV event. Wasn't there a bowl in Birmingham where they had all the fans just sit on one side of the field and the camera angles were all geared in that direction to make it appear like the game was well attended?
You are correct we played NC State and we were losing at the half. NC State was playing some obscure, I believe freshman QB named, let me see...oh yeah Russel Wilson. He got knocked out of the game right before the half and didn’t return. We ended up winning and I believe that was the last game Wilson played for them before transferring.
Not quite understanding the desire to bash Wake Forrest here. But each to their own.
Wake is a small, academically minded university. No surprise they didn’t travel to the game. On tv the attendance at the Gator Bowl today looked thin, at best.
Crowd shots reminded me of the 2007 ACC Championship Game

Wilson was a redshirt frosh and continued playing at NCSU until transferring to Wisconsin for his final year of eligibility. He played at NCSU for 2 more seasons after the 2008 B'Ham bowl.
I don’t Understand if people are having such a great time on vacation and at a game …but then come on this damn site to complain about another team not having enough fans a the game ! Wow !!
Quality over quantity. Most WF folks I know are good people.

Funny but I saw a contingent of A&M fans there in their A&M garb.. Any reason to party, I guess.

Let 'em strut. It's understandable and forgiveable, especially after a bowl win and a tipple or three.
