Yes, he has been back for a few months now, but he no longer has a radio show. He is a sports columnist for WLKY.
His whiny nauseating voice, know it all attitude is too much to handle for my likings. It has been a few years since I listened to him more than 5 mins at a time, I was glad he was gone. Hate to hear he is back.........
When he first had his show here in Louisville he was extremely neutral and he had some good sports banter. His last few years here he figured out pissing off everyone got you higher ratings and more phone calls than just talking about sports. He trolled Kentucky fans by saying things like Cal cant coach. He trolled Louisville fans by saying Rick can't get good players (and of course the famous Night Before Christmas poem). He doesn't care about Louisville and he doesn't care about Kentucky. He's a Virginia fan.
I have met him a few times. He is a nice guy, but a little nerd weasel.
He knows nothing about sports at all, would be surprised if he played little league baseball.

HoopsDavid has it about right. Yes, he is a Virginia fan but he's adopted UofL as his local school and his wife is a huge UofL fan. Lachlan hates Cal and he has a weird hate/obsession with Tiger Woods. All that's ok but he has so little knowledge of the history of local sports and pretty gutless when it comes to standing his ground. He'd let callers (esp. UofL callers) make outrageous assertions and lies and always change his opinion to fit to make it appear that he was right all along.
Another of his weird takes is how the SEC is such an overrated conference in football. Never did understand how he came to that conclusion.
He absolutely hates UK and Cal. I have had several debates with him about his hate for UK and Cal and his homer comments about U of L and Pitino.
He can hate us and be a U of L homer and be a Virginia fan all at the same time.
The the other thing I can tell you is even when you prove him wrong he's still right.
Not a conclusion.. He is simply a Florida State grad and ACC lover so he does everything he can to diminish the sec and build up the conference that his team is in
I have had the football debate with him about which conference is the strongest. Every time the SEC would win another National Championship I would send him an email. He always said the same thing that the SEC was top heavy with two or three teams just like the other conferences. Then I would ask him why one of the other conferences with their two or three best teams weren't winning the Championship and he wouldn't respond.
We all know he hates Cal, UK. What's big mouth saying about the dirty UL scandal and Pitino's job security?
