don’t worry. I’m sure our media friends and exomnic department extraordinaire will make it very public what was paid for this game and how they can spin that as wasted money for the school depriving students and professors and tax payers.
Not a secret. It was disclosed when the game was announced.
$425,000

As of 2016 this is very cheap.
New Mexico $900,000
Eastern Michigan $850,00
Tulane $800,000
Kent State $750,00
Ohio $600,000
FIU $500,000

Wagner is a 30 minute bus ride over from Staten Island vs. the other Teams flying in over 100 players/staff and staying in Hotels. Hence $425k for Wagner.

That, and the going rate for FCS has always been less than FBS.

Has there ever been a more unappealing opponent relative to our own level ? We probably played Austria-Hungary, Sears & Roebuck, and NYPD 80th Precinct in 1898 but those were are peers then.

Only things I am intrigued by are:
1) if we win the toss, will Schiano stick to his conservative script even against Wagner and defer receiving until the second half to keep our offense off the field to avoid an early turnover.
2) Seeing if Kargman is better than our QB.

No one should be concerned about this game from a Rutgers victory standpoint. Everyone knows the game won't even be close. There is, however, a reason I predict Wagner will score 10 points. Kargman looks pretty good for level he is playing.

The campus is on Grimes Hill. Go up there and you get a beautiful view of the Verrazano Narrows and the bridge.
That is correct. And they are bringing a large % of their student body to the game.
Most of them will be on the field.

When Wagner closes their doors look for the property to be used for mansions for multi-millionaires.
Also, if you drive down Howard Ave you'll find a large section of apartment buildings that were once owned by Trump and also the Staten Island campus of St. John's University which will be closing their doors in 2 or 3 years.

What is Wagner's football classification - FCS, D2, D3? Will this count toward the 6 wins needed for bowl eligibility?

Thanks.

They go at 5:00am Off Peak .. so instead of $100 per bus only $78 over the Outerbridge.
lol
No toll leaving.

Or as a comedian said one time in his act…”no toll to get into Jersey.”

He wasn’t funny at all.👎

They scored 31 points this week, they did lose to Fordham I believe 48-31 or along those lines, but 4 TDs means they at least have an offense. Our D is not Fordham, but it wasn’t like they lost 30-0. They went 0-11 last year but their coach said he expects them to be improved. I don’t know what to expect, a challenge like Delaware/Umass, or a rollover like Howard
I guess you don’t mean the 2014 game against Howard?

Oh shoot, I thought this was a musical reference, and we were playing “Vogner.”
