Need some advice from Bahamas veterans:

Leaving in a couple of weeks to spend 10 yr. anniv. with my wife in Bahamas for 8 days. Leaving behind the kids. Checked with CSpire about ability to use our service/phones down there. They said the devices would not work.
Need to keep in touch with the kids back home. What's best way? Pre-paid calling card? Hotel phone?

Also, would like to hear what the best restaurant/entertainment options y'all may suggest, and any other things to do when we are not in the resort frying chicken.

At one time Sprint service would work down there, but was somewhat expensive. With all the mergers and such I have no idea if their service still works there, but if so you could get a prepaid phone from them.

On your second question, depends on where you are staying. PM me if you want with where you are staying and I can possibly give you some ideas.</p>

close to $3.00 per minute. This was several years ago though. I would find a phone to take but only to be used for emergencies and buy an international calling card to handle calling home to check on the kids.
