Yeah man...definitely should be more upset about this senator's ideas on how to respond to electoral cheating than we should be upset about the actual electoral cheating done by the president.

I happen to like the censure- it's a nice compromise when you know he did something wrong but you also know he isn't going to be removed. At least it is a way of saying here is your warning, be smarter moving forward. Unfortunately he is going to get re-elected because the democrats don't really have any viable candidates so hopefully this way will tie his hands a little moving forward.

Im not upset about this "senators ideas"...... I just find Manchin to be disingenuous and not able to take a stand or make a cogent argument. He seems to be perfectly political as he is playing both sides and does not inspire confidence in either position.
As far as continuing to win elections, really.....we as educated mountaineers are spread all over. That is why we are a national brand and one of our strengths in that regard. However, in a state of 1.8 million people where a significant portion of the educated and qualified leave for opportunity, the pool of qualified candidates to run for political office representing the state would naturally be significantly smaller.
Its easier to like the familiar and continue on that path than forge a new one seometimes.
Pretty simple.
When the opposition can't actually get him on anything, the next best hope is to go after members of his administration and try to pressure them into turning on him.
Not exactly ethical, but hey...when has that ever bothered Democrats?

The Democrats are too ethical, IMO. They are weak and scared. Republicans take their lunch money and laugh at them. How Democrats respond? Go on TV and cry about Republicans bullying them. Democrats need to grow a pair and get their hands dirty once, play fire with fire. But they are weak, too scared in their safe spaces. Try to win elections with politesse. Need to grow a pair and get into the trenches. This is why Democrats struggle to win elections while Republicans school them consistently
