UConn isn’t shooting 13-24 on 3s against Houston which is why they won this game. They will need more out of Carlton to beat Houston. They need to make 8-9 3s and get like 17 and 10 from Carlton and then an upset can be sniffed.
It depends how the game plays out, Carlton had 4 blocks and 6 rebs in limited time, he was 0-1, so he didn't hurt the offense. Plus the 2nd foul they called on Josh, that made him miss most of the 1st half, was garbage compared to what these 3 blind mice let USF get away with going after boards.
Uconn without AG running the point looked smoother and took what USF gave them...... that's all you want the offense to do. If you have good ball movement and Uconn can hit from outside ....then it should open up the middle for Josh, so we will see.
Houston's strength is it's back court, they play 3 guards just like Hurley, so I don't see them giving up alot of open 3's. And they don't have much height or scoring from there bigs ( 6-8, 6-7 starters with 6-5 and 6-8 off the bench) but they do have some beef....so it should be an interesting match-up. Though UH starts 3 small guards, the 6-5 former Umass guard off the bench, Jarreau
, might be he toughest match-up for the Huskies.
