It's not a great crew but they are doing ok. Still pissed about them stopping play for a bench warning.
Steed is just awful. There's a reason we never see him in the tournament.
Henderson has had a really solid game and Magnay has had some really good stretches of defense and rebounding.
I wasn't there and have not seen the replay, but you have to give Haith some credit here. I know this is not the Calipari Memphis team- but we've come a long way. We were never able to beat these guys- look at last year and yet this team made the plays down the stretch. The last 5 minutes were clutch- bravo to coach and the team on the victory- even an improvement over the Houston game

I'm still trying to get my head around the idea of cold beer and kick *** high level D1 BB within 15 minutes of where I used to live when I was in Tulsa. Unreal.
Haith did a superb job. His only fault was our spacing on the press offense. His substituting was spot on tonight.
I think there's still some room for improvement in our zone offense. It took us 7 or 8 minutes to finally break it down.
They even sell beer. The casinos and tv have hurt attendance. Also, the parking/ traffic situation isn't managed at all.

High school games are Tuesday and Friday. Not many attend though until regionals start. Nothing like HS football.
Attendance is awful everywhere. The OSU attendance tonight was terrible. Very few people were in the upper level.

OSU sold out their conference opener vs WVU. Midweek late start vs Iowa State? Not so much. I wouldn't drive from the either metro to Stillwater and get home at midnight either. And students may not be back; OU doesn't start back until next week.
Crowd was pretty typical for a weeknight tip. The students that showed up were into it though and the crowd got pumped toward the end of the game.
All the respect in the world for your program and now we have to be nice since you hired Tubby and Pooh. They are legends here. You have some big time players and a coach that knows what he's doing. We got lucky on those turnovers late in the game.
I thought the crowd tonight in the DonRey was pretty into things from the get go. They got on the refs, the cheered for the D when TU was making runs. And at the end, it was damn loud (at least in the arena). And after the game and handshakes...there were a good # who stayed for the alma mater and you could actually hear people singing! It was a fun atmosphere tonight. I do wish the news stations and TW had played up the Tubby returns angle just a bit more and earlier. I think that would have been good for an extra 500-1000 fans.

Amen... I lost my parking pass for basketball this year with the decision by the GHC to only issue season ticket specific passes. The decision to make the 2 hr run to Tulsa to catch a game is Influenced now by the question "where to park?". I was in town last night on business and decided to be a walk up fan. I got turned away from an empty green lot by John Rodgers hall, 15 minutes before tipoff...
It makes me wonder how many football season ticket holders like me would be walk up basketball fans if the passes hadn't changed?
Also.. $44 dollars for a non center court lower level ticket? Not very fan or family friendly...
We lost the momentum that tubby and self built with Phillips and Nodick...we can't charge people elite 8 prices for an NIT product...
In the crowd's defense, they sounded into it on TV. I wish the TV would just pipe in Bruce Howard. He is 100% better than those jackasses that were calling the game. Man, they would put you to sleep. Howard would have been talking up Tubby and been great on the call. He is a joy to listen to. One of the better play by play guys out there bar none.
Bruce is amazing. I remember listening to him as a little kid and he even got me excited at that age. I hope he sticks around forever, it just wouldn't be the same without him. I am extremely excited about the direction of TU hoops under Frank. The recruiting lately has been great, and the talent coming in just keeps getting better.
I want to offer praise for coach Haith and these players.. we have a lot of young talented players and even though we are advancing in fits and starts, We Are Advancing. I liked this crew in the first game I saw them in in early season and I like them more now.
If we keep up this effort, I really think that Haith could be a conference coach of the year winner.
