Vols new HC Josh Heupel

[DAWG61]

UCF's former coach. Pretty solid hire imo. Thoughts? It's almost unbelievable this guy finished 2nd in the Heisman vote in 2000. Actually it is unbelievable. He finished ahead of Drew Brees, LaDainian Tomlinson and Mike Vick. This guy.

They replaced Hay Seed with this?

Don't matter what he looks like, but can he coach, and lead young men.

Etc., etc.

[Cooterpoot]

UCF got worse each year under him.

This guy ..................................................................................................................................................

UCF got worse each year under him.

The offense has been top 5 all of his three years though.

[Dawg1976]

In three years the Vol fans will be hollering for a new coach.

[karlchilders.sixpack]

Ha ha, well welcome to the SEC.

[RocketDawg]

Yes, hard to believe. I knew his name sounded familiar when he became coach a couple years ago at UCF - just didn't know he was the same guy.

He's probably 42 or 43 but looks much older, kinda like Joe Moorhead did.

[mdm3045]

So in other words, the UT AD pulled a Scott Stricklin?

They already are.

[Ralph Cramden]

In the big picture its probly about as good as you could expect in reality. That is not a good job. He stepped into a really good situation at UCF and it has gone downhill. Maybe it will work out but I'm skeptical

This guy ..................................................................................................................................................

He’s not the hero they wanted. He’s the hero they needed.

[Cooterpoot]

Vs nobody. Frost had it rolling too. Look at him.

I thought it was Squiggy from Laverne & Shirley

[DAWG61]

Kinda hard not to when you go 12-1 your 1st season

[The Usual Suspect]

Wasn’t Leach his OC at Oklahoma?

[HotMop]

He looks fit, a natural athlete much like myself.

[DAWG61]

Yea for one season Leach was his OC at Oklahoma. Nice catch. Stoops, Leach and Heupel turned Oklahoma from 11th in the Big12 in offense in 98 to 1st in just one season then Leach started HC at TTech.

1 loss, 3 losses, 4 losses. I'd say the previous coaches talent ran out and he didn't recruit well. I'm not the only person saying that either.

He looks like every other dude in Alabama.

[DAWG61]

We'll know soon enough. I think Frost gets too much credit for UCF though considering he was only there for 2 seasons. He's 12-20 at Nebraska.

[HotMop]

I was wondering what Chumley was up to.
