Think that was a 12 to 0 run to close out set 5, 15-3.

Not sure I've seen a run like that on the road against a top 10 team.

Wild match. Did not see that fifth set coming after getting steamrolled in the fourth set. Huge win!

The third and fourth sets were ugly. Once again Sun really struggled and so did swartzenbach. Lexi's nickname should be water faucet because she's either hot or cold. Last night the water heater wasn't working.

Stivrins and kubik took over that game in the fifth.

Watched some of the Florida St vs Pitt match last night. Let me tell you there is no comparison athletically between those teams and the Huskers. Lots of jelly cellulite trying to elevate to strike the ball. Holy smokes the Husker girls can get up in the air. Minnesota had a couple of girls that could too but man Schwarzenbach, Stivrins and Kubik can get up and HAMMER the ball.

It appears to me that Lexi has the attitude of not playing 100% all the time just kinda loafs but then she can be so zoned in the she’s almost unstoppable

That game all but eliminates Minnesota (14-3, losses to Wisconsin (x2) and Nebraska) from a regular season Big Ten title (would lose tiebreaker to both).

Big Ten Volleyball Standings:
1. Wisconsin (16-1)
2. Nebraska (15-2)
3. Penn State (15-2, NU has tiebreaker)
4. Minnesota (14-3, NU and Wisconsin have tiebreaker, only match with Penn State next week)

Remaining games...
WISCONSIN (16-1)
vs. Nebraska (15-2)
at Penn State (15-2)
at Rutgers (2-15)

NEBRASKA (15-2)
at Wisconsin (16-1)
vs. Maryland (5-12)
vs. Ohio State (7-10)

PENN STATE (15-2)
at Rutgers (2-15)
vs. Wisconsin (16-1)
vs. Minnesota (14-3)

MINNESOTA (14-3)
vs. Iowa (3-14)
at Rutgers (2-15)
at Penn State (15-2)

The conference really knocked late-season scheduling out of the park this year.

If Wisconsin holds on to win the Big Ten, they will have EARNED it more than anyone having played the other three Top 4 teams twice each.

Nebraska, Penn State, and Minnesota each only play Wisconsin among the Top 4 teams twice this season and each other only once.

Nebraska and Penn State each only played two teams with winning conference records twice.
Minnesota played four teams with winning conference records twice.
All of the other teams with winning conference records played three teams with winning conference records twice.

Michigan played only Minnesota from the Top 4 twice, the other three only once.

Bottom line is I would love to be a fly on the wall when these schedules are formulated for volleyball, basketball, and baseball, specifically in volleyball and basketball where there are 20 games against 13 teams (twice against 7 teams, once against 6 teams).

In volleyball, I get that there are a lot of "travel pairs" to mitigate travel and get in two games for each team on a single trip:
Nebraska/Iowa
Minnesota/Wisconsin
Michigan/Michigan State
Indiana/Purdue
Illinois/Northwestern
Penn State/Rutgers
Ohio State/Maryland

Particularly interesting is when the once-a-season matchups are at either the very beginning or very end of the season:

Wisconsin's first conference match was their only with Purdue, and their last conference match is their only with Rutgers.
Minnesota's first conference match was their only with Indiana, and their last conference match is their only with Penn State.
Rutgers' last conference match is their only with Wisconsin.
Michigan's last conference match is their only with Indiana.
- In fact, the last three matches for each Michigan, MSU, Indiana, and Purdue are played only among the non-travel pair teams in that group.
Purdue's first conference match was their only with Wisconsin.
Penn State's last conference match is their only with Minnesota.
Maryland's last conference match is their only with Iowa.
Iowa's first conference match was their only with Northwestern, and their last conference match is their only with Maryland.
Ohio State's last conference match is their only with Nebraska.
Northwestern's first conference match was their only with Iowa.
- Illinois and Northwestern play each other twice... the last two games of the season for each.
Indiana's first conference match was their only with Minnesota.
Nebraska's first conference match was their only with Illinois, and their last conference match is their only with Ohio State.
Illinois's first conference match was their only with Nebraska.

I would think you would want to sprinkle in the single-time matchups in the middle of the season and split up the two-time matchups in the front and back half of the conference season.

Look at the team huddle on BTN after the game. She's the last one to the huddle, little emotion, and when huddle breaks... everyone is ecstatic except for sun. She immediately looks down and starts taking off the tape from her fingers. She has a bigger smile on her face after 5 straight hitting errors than after aHUGE victory.

Athletes are hard to figure out, especially females, and I know she had family at the game and might have been disappointed with her performance but man they have all their goals in their control. Seize the moment

Sun had 18 kills hitting .262 and "really struggled"?
