Every time he fell down it was a flop... then he'd act like he was in some pain trying to sell a foul which is a flop. Most of it was because he was going after rebounds etc so hard his own momentum landed him on the floor but when he tried to sell it like we fouled him... thats when it becomes a flop

Congrats on the win.I will give the short and main reason the vols got beat.Bowden,Schofield,and Turner went 1-17 from 3 and 14 of those were wide open uncontested shots.It was clearly Ky game plan to pack the paint and make the vols make 3s.If they just shoot their averages its a different game but really they was so open they should have shot better than normally.So the vols best shooters all had a bad night on the same night.

A couple other things.The Grant flopping stuff on here is way over the top.Grant was on the floor 6 times.One time was diving for a loose ball.The other 5 involved pretty hard contact.People on here saying Grant cant stop PJ and that might be true but PJ only had 3fgs when Grant was guarding him.I thought Ky should went to PJ more myself.Tn should have played off Hagans like LSU did and make him make 3s.

The vols would have struggled to beat a average team with those three going 1-17.Once again congrats on the win but all the Vols was were exposed talk is just crazy.Shooters have to make open shots plain and simple.I doubt they go 1-17 in Knoxville .Cya in 2 weeks.

Shooting poorly is usually indicative of taking bad shots and/or pressing when taking good shots due to general defensive pressure/intensity.
UK did not shoot very well from 3 either (and hasn't in many games this year but has found other ways to win). The bottom line was the UT got physically whipped. I suspect they'll do better next time, and the game being in Knoxville will change the dynamics, but my feeling is that if UK will have a great chance to win if they bring the same intensity.

Yes, taking bad shots and/or missing open shots for the reasons I outlined. When you're out of your comfort zone and being dominated, that tends to happen. It's ok, you're still in denial. At least some Vol fans are admitting what happened last night.

Back in 2010, the John Wall / DeMarcus Cousins UK team went 4-32 on 3’s in the Elite 8 to West Virginia. We lost our *** because we couldn’t stop them from making 3’s. They didn’t even have a made 2 point shot the entire first half. Stop being in denial. Your team isn’t as good as Kentucky. The sooner you admit this, the better off you’ll be and March 2nd won’t sting as much when we beat you again.

Tennessee shoots a little better than 36% from 3 on average. They made 7/25 on the night. If they made 2 more, it would be right on their average and the game would have been 6 points closer, which would have made it an 11pt win.

Tennessee did have some open shots but many were off of scrambling kinds of plays and not in the normal rhythm of their offense. The reason for this is because of UK's excellent defense.

Tennessee fans will make various excuses for the magnitude of this win, but the bottom line is exactly what Admiral Schofield said after the game, and the head coach confirmed- UK kicked Tennessee's butt and, as the coach said, "They dominated us in about every way you can be dominated." It's simple, for an honest person, to simply admit that UK was just plain better.

Now, does this mean UK will go to Knoxville and beat Tennessee again? Not necessarily, but I will go out a limb right now and say that game will be MUCH closer than the game at Rupp, and I also think UK has better than a puncher's chance to win. I would suggest that this UK team is a nightmare match up for Tennessee.

Let me break it down for you Sparky; Kentucky dominated UT in the paint because of physical superiority. That ain’t likely to change. Floppy Williams resorted to chunking up jumpers because he was getting ***** slapped by Travis. And, if PJ only scored 3 buckets on Floppy Williams and Barnes didn’t keep him on him, then Barnes is a dumbass. He’s a dumbass anyway because he refused to double PJ early. You can deny the D that UK put on that *** but anybody that watched it, including the announcers, saw that a large percentage of those shots were challenged. I won’t predict a win on March 2 but I will say I love the matchup.

So funny how you continue to make excuses for the *** kicking your team got Saturday. Just take the L and accept that the Cats are far superior.

But then again, I guess I'd do the same if my team has only been ranked number one twice in their existence.

Is Tennessee good? Yes. May Tennessee make it past the Elite 8 for the first time in school history? Possibly. Is Tennessee better than Kentucky? No.
