any news on his injury status? i don't think he returned after getting dinged up. Each one of those late int's had me thinking if Vokolek were in there, that would have been him and his sure hands running those routes...

Looked like a damn good player when he was in there.

NFL bound if not for his injury proneness sadly. Like Fidone it seems too...

if true, where's the cortizone??

you cannot be a captain and miss the entire 2nd half with a rolled ankle
Not surprising. This team has been the weakest team mentally in the Big 10 under the dumpster fire known as HCSF

I'm so glad we're in a non-football conference where frost can actually beat "P5" teams

if we were in the big12, ACC or god forbid SEC we might be going on year 5 with no P5 wins whatsoever

thank goodness for purdue, rutgers, illinois, minnesota and others

I thought you said your transfers from strong conferences, some of whom dominated...and your new coaches from strong conference...were going to come in and do well in the Big Ten West...??

And now you're saying the SEC is strong again. But in the Bowls when they lose to Big Ten West teams, you say they're weak. Which is it?

We agree that their top 2 Playoff teams are strong. But the rest of the SEC went 3-7 plus a forfeit. The Big Ten went 6-2 in the regular Bowls.

Also, if Alabama is guaranteed to win...why don't they do a barnstorming tour through the Big Ten West? In Saban's 15 years, why have they only scheduled 2 road games?

This board is getting brutal. "just a rolled ankle" like we really know what he's got but shoot him up with some pain killers and get him back out there, he is a captain after all.

Seriously. The resident orthopedists on the board could diagnose the extent of an injury based on a two word comment by someone who wasn't there. Wow. I hope the same expertise is available if I'm ever diagnosed with cancer.

A walkon is better than several scholarship players at this point. God I wish Fidone hadn't got hurt. Put Volk, him, Palmer , and Casta out their at once.

Is chance brewington out also?
Love Brew. Just watch the guy. He always moves the defender backwards or out of the play. He's got some old school Husker in him.

Vokolek looked good, like the guy we were promised. Hope he's back quickly.

What happened to AJ Rollins? Looked great in spring game...maybe he doesn't know the playbook smh
There are positions on this team that when the starter goes down there is a huge gap with the #2 and #3 guy. Whips offense seems the the perfect offense for these Tight Ends to eat smh.

Not meant to be a smart remark but can Brewington catch a ball? It seems like last year he was used in goal line situations, coming in motion, blocking and not much else. Correct me if my old memory is failing me, did he haul in any down the seam or over the middle passes?

Chancellor Brewington played in 10 games in his first season at Nebraska in 2021, catching three passes for 20 yards and one touchdown. He made his Husker debut in the win over Fordham, catching two passes for eight yards, including a two-yard touchdown reception. Brewington added a 12-yard catch the next week against Buffalo. Although that was his final catch of the season, Brewington was one of Nebraska’s top perimeter run blockers throughout the year.
