Vitale Not Calling Duke-UNC Game

Kind of a surprise move as ESPN going with just Shulman and Bilas on Wednesday. It will be the first Duke-UNC game since 1979 that the network has aired that didn't feature Vitale.

If I were a Duke or UNC fan, I would take that in a heartbeat. Bilas and Shulman are excellent and Dick Vitale should retire.

Shocking to me. Whether you like him or not, it just won't quite be the same without him. This looks like they're easing Vitale a little bit toward the door.

Too bad. I still wish Dickie V was doing this game. I can listen to 40 minutes of him hyping Coach K as the best ever and Okafor as NPOY. We won't get that kind of love from Bilas.
