Hello,

I am planning to bring my 17 month daughter down with me for the game on October 30th. We are most likely staying close to downtown Evanston, which is about 1.5 miles from the stadium.

Is there any free street parking close to the stadium or any recommendations on paid parking close to the stadium? This will be her first ever football game so if she isn't doing well I just want to have a quick and easy way to get her back to the car.

Thank you in advance for the help.

A lot of nearby homes have parking. I would recommend the Boy Scout parking lot, very, very nearby on Central Street west of stadium.

Since you are bringing your baby, I will avoid giving you my usual misdirection, which is to go to Midway Airport and wait for the stadium shuttle.

I am not sure about a FREE parking near the stadium. I have a clandestine location off the golf course that still requires a 10-minute walk. I would suggest paying to park in someone's driveway or the aforementioned Boy Scout lot.

I can tell you most nearby street parking is used by residents. In Wilmette in game day FREE street parking can be hound north of Linden about a half mile walk. Or take the train from Evanston to Central and walk two blocks to the stadium.

There's something funny about "Visiting Gopher", but I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's that there is no such thing--they arrive and never leave. Just kidding, glad you are coming to Evanston and you are welcome to stay if you like the food.
