Fresh off of a sweep of Notre Dame, here come the Hokies, looking easily like the most formidable opponent to date.

The Cards have had a pretty good prep leading up to this series and now it's time to tighten the belts and see what we got.

Rip em up,tear em up,give em Hell Cards!

Just another thought about how Coach Mac maneuvers his lineup with all of the depth and options at his disposal. The lineup that starts the game may very well not be the one that's there at the end of the game.

In other words,he has options he may have never had before about pinch hitting multiple guys in situations to get a favorable match-up at the plate. Lefty on righty or vice versa. I think we'll see more than we've probably ever seen before.

Wish Kilen would've taken a strike there...oh well. Cmon defense!

Gongora still pitching well. CDM hasn't been leaving starters in past the sixth. Wonder if that's going to change in conference play or let him go if still pitching well

Really hating this ump’s strike zone. It is Not consistent at all.

Anderson’s bat has cooled over the last 2-3 games. Not horribly; but, he isn’t hitting the ball as hard as he was.

What worries me a bit is he's not fighting with 2 strikes. The way he can use the whole field,a bit surprising.

And the outfield is where you would expect the least number of mistakes but we've had more than a couple gaffes in the last few games.

Looks like Napleton once had the yips throwing the ball back to the pitcher. He pumps and hesitates and tosses the baseball back to the pitcher.

But he can hit home runs.

This ump really does suck gonads. Balls are strikes, strikes are balls. The job isn’t hard. He’s just being an ***.

McDonnell continues to leave pitchers on the mound too long. It is his biggest weakness as a manager.

We have all thought that at times. When do you pull a pitcher, though? You don’t know beforehand if a pitcher is going to screw up, and when they start screwing up, you have to give your pen time to warm up.

It’s an easy criticism, but when you’re managing a game, it’s a bit different.

I agree to a certain point but in the latter innings you need more than one guy getting warmed up. Particularly if your bringing a reliever in in a pressure situation.

It’s a long weekend. Save your arms. Get one going when the starter begins to flail, not when you think they are going to flail. Playing the confidence game is a huge part of baseball.
