I can't tell if Pikiell's constant "can't defend the foul line" crack is a veiled dig at the refs' inconsistent calls or our players' not playing smarter.

You don't get much from these other than the typical bouquets to the opposing team and it coach. He is likely more pissed with the effort than he will let on but he will publicly protect his guys which is probably the right thing to do.
