Never tried it for my patients with S.A. Have used it for certain patients with Alopecia. Sometimes it works sometimes it does not. Have tried for patients that are agitated during the night and keeping the owner awake. It has not helped.
I do agree that it is likely safe for your dog, so I don't see any issue with trying it for S.A. The recommended doses, in your linked article, appear to be appropriate. No harm in trying it for about 3 wks and seeing if it helps. If not, you can always go to medical treatment with Clomipramine or Fluoxetine.

So this is an everyday dose and not just as needed?

I would think so. In humans, if you are going to try to treat a chemical imbalance in the brain (depression, bipolar, etc) you put them on a consistent medication. It does not make sense to try to treat such things as needed. I think the same would be true for S.A. in dogs.

I have a follow up my. My cat has something his therapist calls 9 lives matter. It has to do with the thought having to go through the experience of death 9 times and it causes him great anxiety. Does Oklahoma recognize medical cat nip? Thanks in advance.
