I was assertive all year long that Michigan did not have the necessary roster continuity from last year to this year to win the title. I’m very happy to be wrong about it.
Suck it, Hurley!

Yay hopefully the 27 year UConn deal with the devil is over. They finally lost one.
They also have the #2 HS recruiting class, and will look to bring in portal studs. Talent anywhere they can find it.
Time for UK's turn. Pope is getting to redo the assignment after failing badly this past season.
They would've came back tonight too, that missed layup on the Mich turnover was the nail. They score there, Michigan is reeling.
With a real coach, sure. With the currently employed doofus, no.
Lots of trends broken in this game. UCONN was 6-0 in championship games; Michigan was 1-5. The portal changes everything.
We should have just crowned Michigan the champ when they beat the crap out of everybody the first 4 weeks of the season.

Like I told you it takes talent mixed with experience five star mckeeny comes through again with crucial free throws to seal the deal a freshman impacted the championship game.
See what happens when a competent coach puts together an elite portal roster almost overnight?
Wish we had one of those.
Pope will never be able to recruit the five-star talent to go with his level three experience players so we will lose 12 to 13 games again next season, oh well there's always football.
And like most years the title contender comes from a small list of 6-8 teams.
Michigan was one of those teams.
Uconn was not.

Uconn was not.
A lot of us did. When they torched Zaga I was kinda there.
Then Zona came on really strong. It should’ve been Zona UM for the title.
I gotta give credit to Hurley........he had his teams playing their best ball in March........which is seemingly becoming a theme with him.
Uconn really needed to capitlize in that first half when Michigan was making no threes. Once you saw despite that they were still leading at half, you knew Uconn was in a bit of trouble IMO.
Yeah. To that end--we can build a contender out of the portal in 1 year. Go get 'em, Pope.
I was a snoozing so I can only comment on the closeness of the final score.
All I can say is I can breathe a bit easier going into next season.
I have my doubts. But everyone is 0-0 now. And the goal is to keep our lead in total games and get to the freaking FF.
Most punchable face in sports currently and it’s not even close.
Did the big baby whine after it was over?
Michigan just showed us it can be done.
Whether or not Mark Pope can do it--we'll see. But here's hoping he can.
