From the read of the story I don't see anything wrong with what the man was attempting to do. With that said, was he in some way connected to someone whose trial was about to go through voir dire that day? I can see how that COULD be considered tampering if it was for some dumb law (some pot related trial)

Based on what I read, there was no current case in which he was associated, although I think the article mentioned a future action. But even if there were, I'm not sure how handing out a pamphlet a crime. I hope this judge gets his head handed to him.
