The consensus is what you'd all expect: "They hired a new coach bc we hired a new coach and they are scared of Lane!"


Pretty amazing but not really.

I made it through 2 threads. That's enough. I usually check their site about twice a year. I'll check on them again after their 1-4 start to the 2020 season.

It's comical. The reality is that they thought they'd have an advantage with us having a lame duck coach for a year and now they're disappointed that they don't. And I'm sure this new staff won't be too upset about having to recruit against a school that has DJ Durkin on its staff, either.

They are still in the rear view and will remain there.

Ole Miss has no intention of keeping Luke in mid November of 2017. After fluking into an Egg Bowl win, they gave him the full time job

Ole Miss leaks that they are keeping Luke another year in mid November of 2019. After losing the Egg Bowl in embarrassing fashion, he gets fired a few days later.

Mississippi State just fired a coach who went 2-0 against Ole Miss.

But continue lecturing about how Mississippi State overemphasizes the rivalry. Whatever makes you feel better.

no Way that someone actually believes a coach Was fired because of something that happened at another school...That’s ridiculous. Coaches get fired for not meeting expectations. There are 25-30 plus reasons why Moorhead was fired and OM changing coaches was none of them.

Also, I’ve never said that MSU overemphasizes the rivalry, at least not any more than Ole Miss does. But, I hope you feel better.
