Heard some murmurings on the radio about a comment Bill Busch made regarding the U being able to stick a players personal venmo QR code up on the big screens following a big play by someone. Nash gets a sack, stick up the venmo. Big run by Purdy, stick up the venmo. No clue if this is legal (guessing not at all) right now, but looks like his tweet is getting some traction. Regardless of the legality, the concept is awesome. Id have to guess you could get 10-20K people to send you $1 after a big play. Imagine the Westercatch, or Black 41 Flash Reverse, or the Henry 57 yarder. Those kids could have a big game and make a small fortune instantly

I cant believe I live in this reality. I really cant. With the amount lolcow streamers make online for doing stupid stuff and how they're rewarded, this doesn't surprise me. Nobody has money to pay for inflated basic **** but they'll throw their money at the gladiators. Then go back to pissing and moaning about it after the game's over.
Rewarded for doing what you're supposed to love doing. Bazooko Circus level.

I see it succeeding. If it can, it will.

ETA: Think people wont reward them for doing ****** things in the game? Think again.

What if you donate, and then the play is reversed on an official review?

the funny thing is when they make a bad play they'll be flooded with people sending venmo requests

Trust me, it pisses me off to no end knowing my kids are funding talent-less you tube morons with their views. Mainly them watching some kid play video games instead of actually playing the video game themself. Im in the wrong profession.

It is truly gawd awful, and it would get more talent to come here.

This shouldn't lead to any player taking an unnecessary chance on the off chance he might score a big play but actually blow an assignment
Ehh I don’t think that would affect that too much, players have wanted deeply to make big plays for over a century And they know that just like before, they’ll be benched for blowing too many assignments. I really like the idea and not sure how they could call it illegal. They already put players on the big board that make big plays and this would absolutely work to perfection. They’d make thousands in some games for sure. Throw it on TV and it would be 10’s of thousands easily. They even put Players on the screen at my little brother in-law’s high school in Kansas City after a big play.

This approach doesn’t have to be limited to people in the stadium…can’t even imagine having all of Husker nation being involved. I would be willing to “reward” a kid $1 for a great play….take this type of mentality to hundreds of thousands of people and this is a huge deal type of idea.

So pay the kids a nice bag to just be here and play football AND then pay for each individual decent play they do…

Might as well pay them to get out of bed and brush their teeth.

The next logical step:

(1) Refs make a controversial call

(2) QR code from your cell with proceeds going to the refs:

Winning amount decides the call.

If that works, it will easily be replicated everywhere. But I think there is massive upside to smaller scale donations made easily.
It will be, but constant sell out streak will have recruits seeing dolla bills here more so than just about all other programs

Just so everyone knows he said this in jest and it was a hilarious segment filled with slot machine sounds.

Despite my man shakes fist at clouds takes, I could see this getting over.
Even if it was made in jest, it's a "good" idea. Not sure of legalities or any of that. That's for you guys who are way smarter than I.
Whether I like it or not doesn't matter.

I wonder how much money our Qbs would have made from opposing fans after their numerous fumbles and it's? You should be able to "donate" to any player that helps the cause, no matter what team they're on.

I yell at my kids everytime they have that **** on. Proceed to tell them what a bunch of no talent Dbags the people they are watching are. I haven't seen it as much lately but assume they have gotten trained to hide it from me so they don't have to watch me have a stroke

So awkward that you are talking about watching kids play a game that you don’t play (college football) while bashing your kids for doing the same.

I guess you never watch golf, racing, home/car DIY type shows, cooking shows, or anything else where you are watching someone who gets paid for doing something you could do?

I watch Twitch all the time. Its my TV. Anyone playing a game I like/interested in with an audience of less than 50 and preferably doesn't talk a lot.
Its all subjective opinion. I grew up with the vidya games.

This could go both ways. Whenever our quarterbacks throw interceptions, tens of thousands of husker fans can request money from them. Seems fair.

When you put up the Venmo amd they get paid after a play, some would argue that makes it "pay for play", which is prohibited, even if it is just a coincidence

1. Is it legal?

2. Make it fun. Be able to take back what you've put on. And you get to do it with a short message. End of game interception? You lose it all.
Enjoy your empty bag jackass!!
