You can’t pardon the Honduras leader found guilty of drug crimes and a month later claim a military operation to capture a country’s leader on foreign soil is about drugs…

Obviously MAGA will believe what they’re told to believe, but this is inarguably about oil reserves / production.
And distracting from the Epstein files. He’s been doing what he can to escalate and get Venezuela to respond so congress will approve a war.

So they’re going to try him in a us court? That ought to be fun. I can almost imagine the habeus petition already. And the discovery could be almost as interesting a process as the russiagate case was

If we are smart and we help the lady get in to power, we need to get him indicted in Venezuela for the countless murders of civilian protesters when he was in power. Get him convicted and sentenced to death in absentia.

Bet he takes a plea deal for life in prison here.

But alas we are not smart.

Maduro didn’t donate enough money to Trump, apparently. The corruption is astoundingly obvious.

Yeah, this feels like the best case scenario, get him back to Venezuela to stand trial there. But Maduro being out doesn't mean regime change. Sounds like the military dictatorship is still firmly in place. I also suspect that Trump wants to keep the government unstable long enough to get every ounce of oil we can

China was running those drills prior to Venezuela. The people of Venezuela 🇻🇪 are celebrating and here you are crying.
Maduro sucks but now Trump is punch drunk with power and has already rudely dismissed the candidate that overwhelmingly won the Venezuelan election so he can illegally do whatever the **** he wants. In the process, his obnoxious bluster could tip a broader conflict because of his brazen disrespect for the sovereignty of other countries.

Im starting to doubt the credibility of the FIFA peace prize.

I believe Venezuela crude is a low grade that requires different refineries than WTI. Also, we have unused capacity in the Gulf for the required refineries.

Venezuelan crude oil quality is known for being heavy and sour, meaning it's thick, dense, and has high sulfur content, requiring specialized refineries (like those on the U.S. Gulf Coast) built to process it for products like diesel, asphalt, and heavy fuel. While Venezuela has the world's largest reserves, this heavy nature makes it more challenging and expensive to extract and process compared to lighter crudes, necessitating blending with lighter naphtha for pipeline transport.

Actually my life is quite fantastic by any traditional measure, but I don’t come online to brag about my life nor assess the state of others’ personal lives on an anonymous online forum.

How do you reconcile pardoning Honduras’ leader with the capture of Venezuela’s leader?

Not JHPartner but.......at first blush seems contradictory. But I haven't seen any rationale for this pardon. Maybe there's a good reason, or maybe the Honduran just made a contribution to trump's campaign or library.

Sadly I believe it to be the latter - there was no rational justification provided for why the pardon was in the best interests of US citizens. Trump’s crypto ventures are unprecedented in their ability to facilitate bribery and pay-for-play / pay-for-pardon activities.

Peace president invades Venezuela at the behest of Israel and oil companies. Does regime change and nation building, after he ran on being non interventionist. Maga's fall in line and continue to support him because they have 0 principles.

Oil executives weighing a potential investment in Venezuela’s fields may want to check out the view from space. Satellites have detected enormous amounts of methane billowing from the country’s abandoned oil rigs, rusty pipelines and other dilapidated energy infrastructure.

Good time to watch "Landman"

I know that a portion of this board might be allergic, but as an FYI, Rob Schmitt from Newsmax went to Caracas and did a sit down interview with Jorge Rodriguez, President of the Venezuela National Assembly and the brother of VP Delcey Rodriquez. I thought the questions were good. No "gotcha" type stuff.

I dont' think that anything earth shattering was revealed, but it's interesting listening to how the questions are answered and try and read between the lines. Lots of dynamics in play.
