No, the people who were saying he shouldn't start are the ones I think should be eating crow.
Most people who complain about Vedral realize he’s probably our best option but are annoyed that we all saw his limitations last year and there was no effort in the off season to improve our roster with a competent one.

Yes there was, but we can't strongarm a QB to come to us through the transfer portal.

Anybody talking crap about Vedral. Take one of these, and see if you come running back on the board with a big mouth.

I would also like to point out that last week, when PSU‘s QB was playing in pain and was having a problem the Illini ran the ball down their throats and stoned their Offense repeatedly. Vedral, clearly limited physically Saturday gutted it out, played really well within his abilities and won. He did what PSU could not. He is one tough kid. Limited skill set which also limits GLEESON’s playbook but he is clearly a better QB than his haters make him out to be.

Noah is a tough dude and a leader. He can run the ball well (not great, not elite).

but let’s be real. He is a real hamstring for the offense. The arm strength is really not sufficient at all and even the accuracy is pretty poor beyond 5 yards from the LOS
Just not the day for it.

Don't know if you understood my post. He's nowhere near 200 and needs A LOT more strength and size work in the off season.
I'm still confused, are we talking Wimsatt here?

Odin was a twig. Wimsatt looks like the biggest QB currently on the roster......this side of Langan at least.

Yes. I know he's tall. Saw him up closer see at cuse. But I don't see the bulk. I haven't seen 200 in 40 yes s so maybe my perspective is shot.

If only this kid had Nova or Teel's arm. As it is- he is something like 7th in the B1G in total YPG from scrimmage.

He can and will put on weight, but I remember Odin on the field and thinking, "twig". I think Wimsatt looks the part all ready.

I recently watched an Muhammed Ali doc on TV. And in his macthup with Liston early in his career, one of the Doc commentaters noted that the thought was Liston was just going to be too big too strong. But when they got in the ring Ali was taller, had broader shoulders, himself had big solid legs. Yeah Liston was more muscular, but he was not the bigger man.

I think Wimsatt has some of that big natural frame to him.

I don't think it is really size or bulk that would hold GW back- it is experience and maybe that he is still just a day or two past 18. He may be 200lbs but his body isn't prepared just yet. Give him this year and even if he is still the same exact size, his body will be better conditioned for what will be coming.

I doubt he is really ready to run the offense anyways, so I don't see it as much of an issue.

But I think we will se a bit more of him this year, and I think he is physically ready to handle whatever small # of plays he gets.
