I just can't see why we'd take someone like this when we've got a zillion guys 6'7" - 6'9" already. Gonna end up with 11-12 committed and 1 or 2 really good bigs come available via transfer or reclass and either we miss on them because we're too crowded or get them and lose someone else. It's April people, and most of these guys are players that played on bad mid major teams.

Done some minor research on this guy and I’m all in. I feel he could be a Reid Travis esque player for us

pts&reb
17-11 against LSU in a win
19 against Purdue
22-11 against Tennessee (combined 16-22 from the field those last two games)
12-9 @ title contender Dayton and went 12-17, yes, 17 boards against them at home.

Gonna watch some film on him tomorrow but kid can clearly play. I want him.

If we miss on Haarms I’m all for this guy. Jackson would probably have to be a better shot blocker than I think he will be right now to utilize him but Santos-Silva would give us someone to throw a few bodies around

I've seen him play multiple times. Only 6-7, plays below the rim, not a rim protector, kinda slow...pass.

I would not expect too much from this guy, if he came here. Probably fills a need as a bruiser inside. Probably gives us a basket or two, some rebounds, and 5 fouls. Asking for much more might be asking for too much. I don’t see him being a starter, though.

do you see anybody being a star? you think everyone who we go after or recruit isn’t good

I agree, but if we miss on Haarms, we quickly run out of options unless we get a reclass.

Wow, I’m usually accused of being a sunshine pumper. LOL!

Sorry, I’m just trying to be realistic about a 6’7 kid who has played the post in the A-10.

Some times you have to be the voice of reason, there are too many on this board who think any big man with a pulse is a savior.

We need a bull-like RT that can clear out and not get pushed around as the skinny kids do. Why not this guy and Haarms? It seems like a good combo like Nick and EJ or RT and PJ.

He said for most of this season that this team and 2012-2013 teams were just alike with the same ceilings. With some people, you just have to laugh and move on.
I see my racist stalker is back. Ol Blue in The Brew/Der g punkt/etc. And your always leave out everything I said. I said we were no more talented than the 2012-2013 team, and I stand by that. Now, what racist name will you call me and my wife this time around?

I found this to be quite interesting; he’s only 6’7, but that wingspan is a bit freakish. That in itself is fairly impressive.

Haven’t done much research on him yet, but I wonder what his potential role would be in terms of roster development.

I don’t know if this is a bad sign in terms of Haarms, or the staff is simply doing their due diligence to ensure we fill that five-position. Would love to have them both, but unlikely I’m sure. Regardless, it would be nice to have a low-post guy like this to take up space down low.

Interesting. Santos-Silva and Brooks up front would make us fairly short. Although, about the same size as Reid-PJ.

I would say the Haarms ship has sailed if this guy produces a list of any type that includes UK on it.

I saw that he entered the draft already too.

Two others are in similar positions like him as seniors that declared for the draft in Paul Atkinson and Tamenang Choh.
