Watched Vandy last night and live in Nashville, so I see them several times a year. Much improved guard play and Kornet bulked up a bit and worked on defense. He used to be a perimeter 7 footer, but is at least trying to rebound now. Jones is real. I'd love to see anyone beat KU, but they have some size down low. If Vandy can keep them spread out like they like to do (I hate when UK plays them man and gets pulled out to the half court line and just lets them spread the floor and create space) and have space and passing lanes, it will help - as would shooting well from 3. Vandy moves the ball very well, and makes smart passes. They as a team see the floor like a point guard sees the floor, opportunistic

Got to get credit to Vandy, this is a big OOC game for them. A chance for them to gain a lot of credibility, and help the SEC as well. I'm thinking they win it in a close one, but a KU win wouldn't surprise me either. Hoping for a good game to watch!

I'll bet though that if Vandy wins KU is still in the top 10 next week with 2 losses. They seem to be able to lose without it affecting their ranking like it does other teams.
This one might tell us if Vandy is the real deal this year,do they deserve a seat at the big boy's table

History doesn't matter at all when it comes to competition. Especially not to kids.
May not matter to the kids, but there's a reason VU has only won what, 1 NCAA tourney game in how many years???????????? Coach ya think!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that hasn't changed. I will never again pick VU in my NCAA pool until they prove it on the court.

Right? Has any other team been consistently picked and failed so many times more than Vandy? I know most of us pick them because of the SEC and we think we know them but Stallings screws us every year.

If KU wins title this year, Ellis will have 4 NCAA titles during his college career.

I've never understood Perry Ellis jokes... He's a 4-year player, kinda like Alex Poythress. Jon Hood was a five-year player.

Although, let me add, GO VANDY

Well he does appear to be going bald at an early age as was pointed out earlier.

Never got why any mature man would make fun of someone for something they can't control. It's not a funny thing at all unless you are some idiot prick. For the record I am not saying you are making fun of him for going bald, but the people that do are losers.

Vandy is looking good so far.

Vandy will have a long night if they settle for long jumpers and miss layups like that... Kansas looking good in transition

I'm not actually making fun of him. I'm having balding issues at age 30, so I know it's not pleasant. I just didn't actually think the guy was serious when he said Ellis was balding. But then I got a look and realized he was being serious.

Same with my roommate and my piano teacher. Another friend of mine is 25 and her hair is already graying. I guess jokes about him looking old are fine (kinda like Greg Oden/LeBron jokes), but for being a 4-year student, I guess I don't quite understand.
