The ticket thing was more of a joke. What I was really curious about is the hotel prices. A random Marriott Courtyard in the city is more than the Opryland Hotel that weekend.

Vandy stadium is not far from downtown and downtown hotel prices are ridiculous.

Check out Airbnb and VRBO. We stayed in the heart of 12 South neighborhood in a one bedroom condo over memorial day weekend and it was reasonable compared to a hotel room. You can Uber/walk wherever and never even have to move your car until you head home.

I just looked, and the same place is $845 for the Vandy weekend, that's 2 nights all fees included. Most everything on Hotels.com was over 1000 for 2 nights. Your mileage may vary!

The Titans play Kansas City on Sunday. KC fan does travel & Nashville is probably the one away game trip that a lot of their fans will take this fall. I noticed these downtown hotel prices being extremely high 6-8 weeks ago when several of our crew was discussing away game options for MSU this fall.

I wouldn’t splurge on a $50 ticket for that stadium.

A. It sucks
B. It won’t be crowded at all

Depends on what you want out of your trip. There are hotels around Vandy which, I assume, will be pricey. You can check the Green Hills area. It would be an easy Uber or drive (5 minutes) to Vandy’s campus and you might catch a bit of a break.

The cheapest hotels in Nashville will likely be out by the airport. But, that’s on the complete opposite side of the city from Vandy.

I like Franklin as much as Nashville. If you want a nice, quiet night out check hotels down there. They will likely be lighter on your bottom line, especially if you stay out on 65. Plus, it’ll give you a head start headed back south. You might not run into as much of a markup for the Titans Game out there too.

If you’re wanting to do the Broadway / Downtown, it’ll be pricey.

There's a Fairfield Inn on 29th street that was fairly affordable when I priced it recently for a guest. Also within walking distance of the stadium and walking distance from tons of bars and restaurants.

Vandy's stadium sucks no matter where you sit.

-You will be able to buy a ticket outside for way less than $40 and sit anywhere you want to
-Nashville hotel prices are always ridiculous but as others have said much more reasonable outside the downtown perimeter, just factor in the Uber ride

Are outside tickets even a thing anymore? It seems like Covid let everybody switch to electronic tickets only, and I doubt it's going back.

We used to go to Nashville a lot for long weekends. Sometimes we would stay downtown but usually we would stay in Cool Springs which is between Nashville and Franklin. Lot of hotels around the mall area and were always less than half of the price in Nashville.
