I'll never forget listening to the 2008 (I think) state/vandy game, every shot Shan Foster threw up went in, felt like he made 10, 3s. I think we lost in OT.

How did they get so bad? I know Stackhouse is new so I’m not sure how much of this is on him. Was Bryce Drew just that awful of a coach? 0-18 in league play last year and 0-4 to start this season. They were an NCAA Tourney team three years ago. Rick Ray wasn’t even this awful.

Watching the last 5 minutes of that game was hilarious. You could feel the tension in the gym as they felt their chances slipping away. Hearing the players get booed by the home crowd for making shots that weren't 3's was surreal. Had to wonder if the coaches and team even knew what the boos were for.

Have to agree with the sentiment of some other posters in this thread. Before Vandy became a power in baseball they were fun to root for as the underdog. I now enjoy watching them flop around like a fish out of water in football and basketball.

I was at that game. Ben Hansbrough missed 2 free throws that would have won the game in regulation. This game cemented my hate for Vandy BB for life. Their fans were terrible. I’m glad they are abysmal. Their douche bag fan base is very deserving.
