If Vanderbilt suits up, he will need time to get re-acclimated but the kids a STUD. He will be a big addition is if he's healthy. Y'all are WAY too negative about everything. Relax and enjoy watching them figure it out. They're fine.
If he cannot shoot...I dont see him making much of a difference really. Our only chance to even think about making a run is if he turns out to be our best player.
Other than Berry, UNC did not shoot the ball well from 3 last year.Knox, Wenyen, Alexander, all can shoot but they are streaky. Shooting can improve in the season too btw.

Vanderbilt is a special kind of freshman, he's not like Gabriel who was to thin to bang in the paint. He's an impact player. He's a monster.I was fine with what i saw.
BTW< do people realize that Knox, Quade, and SGA are shooting 40%+ from three.
Our positioning still sucks, and we waste a lot of possession during the game. We let go of the ropes once we have huge lead. All things we always see improvements in (and every Cal teams always had that problem in beginning of the year).
Combine that with our FREAK athleticism, height and length. I am not sure what people are so worried about.
I also said Vanderbilt is our best player. However, he's freshman too. Why do you guys think he can come in and dominate. Every freshman needs to workout the kinks.

You know, in November, that our team won't have enough offensive skill in March? You're good.I hear what you're saying, but we aren't making a run. There just isn't enough offensive skill on this team, and Vanderbilt won't fix that. This team will get better defensively, I have no doubt about that. But they are going to have crippling offensive droughts against good teams all year.
I hope you're right. He is a superstar, he is our best player. He would've been a top 5 recruit had he not missed so much time. He will be the best rebounder in the country at his position especially on the offensive end. His game is truly special and my non uK friends I've been telling the whole time wait til our best player gets back. Because he is truly our best player mark my words on this one the kid is a monster. Those who doubt won't doubt for long. He also has point forward abilities with his handle and passing ability and a very much improved jump shot by seasons end in the all star games. We could go 6'9 or taller at every position if we decided to put him at point for small stretches. He brings a ton to the table. He's the recruit I've been by far most excited about since day one. Hope he plays sooner than later.
You should start tempering your expectations now, don't wait much longer.Vanderbilt is a special kind of freshman, he's not like Gabriel who was to thin to bang in the paint. He's an impact player. He's a monster.
Now now WildMoon, lets not shower everyone with too many facts all at one time. That was wayyyy too much all at one time.I was fine with what i saw.

Tempering my expectations? Lol no way. There are the freshman who aren't ready or who aren't physically mature enough. And there are freshman who a monsters that make massive impacts. I have ZERO reason to believe he won't make an MKG/ Bledsoe/ Jamal Murray type impact from day one. I didn't think Washington Richards or most of these freshman would make that type of impact. Vanderbilt and Knox are the only ones I have/had huge expectations for. I'm usually spot on when I see an immediate impact player and a player that'll take some time those players are easy to spot such as fox and monk, or Washington and Richards. Vanderbilt is in the class of fox and monk. He is our best player. I think he's one of the best players in the country. His versatility and IQ is second to none. You should start tempering your expectations now, don't wait much longer.
You're setting yourself up for a fall. He's talented, but he's still a freshman that is going to be very rusty and he's not Lebron James, so you should try very hard to pump the brakes a little bit or you will find yourself trashing the kid when he falls short of miraculous the high bar you have set for him.
Yikes, well, I hope you're right, but I'll be happy if he stays healthy and doesn't reinjure that foot.Tempering my expectations? Lol no way. Yea that's the biggest worry. But we haven't had a player like him before. Closest player to compare him would be T.Jones. But Terrance did not have near the ball handling, passing ability, feel for the game and intensity Vanderbilt has. And Vanderbilt is probably even a much better rebounder. He's special just wait and see.Yikes, well, I hope you're right, but I'll be happy if he stays healthy and doesn't reinjure that foot.
I'm not sure if this is directed towards me and me hyping up Vanderbilt. But if so I can't wait for him to prove me right.Same ole chicken littles come out every year.
IF
That's a big if. Don't expect too much as he hasn't been playing.
Why does everyone think he's this magical player who is gonna put up rediculous numbers.
