He’s not completely wrong. We don’t crap the bed against USCjr and Georgia, and we play better to beat MSUand a bounce or two different in the Kansas game and we are sitting at 24-5. It’s not that far fetched, too bad we didn’t execute on those occasions but glad to see this team hit their stride at the right time of year.

You can see plenty of Vanderbilt fans here.

Not a whole lot of people here really care about Vandy athletics. I see more UK and UT fans here than Vandy.

Not really true. We’ve sucked at Football and Basketball for a long time though and that hurts the fanbase. The biggest thing is that VU is Uber liberal and the way they treated fans over Covid pissed off a lot of our fanbase.

Lastly, the highest concentration of our fanbase lives in wealthy west Nashville and unless you live there, you wouldn’t even notice.

Mostly sucking though, we have a small fanbase at this point.

I live in Franklin, have worked at Vandy medical center and spent plenty of time there. There is a concentrated base of Vandy alumnus in west nash that are Vandy fans but you kind of proved my point. Reiterated it, really. There aren’t many of you.

Had you said the above, I would have agreed because I do.

Live in Nash too - was at the Auburn at Vandy game - fun game. In my section was surrounded by AU fans sadly.

My observations that night were:

1. Robbins scored a ton on free throws (like only 3 FG's if I recall?) - seemed to struggle under the basket. If he continues to get to the FT line that will be trouble. If not - hurts Vandy scoring.
2. By same token Auburns bigs (Broome and Williams) feasted that night. I can see that happening again as well as Oscar, Toppin and Livingston are playing - but we'll see. Robbins finally got a huge block on Broome at the end.
3. Little guard that night got to the rim, but struggled to finish at the rim all night.... until the final play. UK CAN struggle against small quick guards under Calipari - but did not against Greene from Auburn. I just hope that continues to hold true.
4. Last is my observation or more so not understanding the diminished role for Wright. He has killed UK in the past and honestly has been a fav player of mine for Vandy (Undersized for position but strong and can finish). Hoping he doesn't go off as in past. What happened with him? QMB is pretty limited offensively (but has had a good game vs UK in past). Some nice forwards that could develop for sure.

You are a good guy Frieda... always a classy and reasonable discussion. I am all for Vandy's continued success as long as it's not at the expense of UK. Baseball season underway - my kids went to game on Sunday.

Thanks, @struggler !

Only thing I’ll add is that we played a terrible game against Auburn, missed everything but still found a way to win which was nice. Nobody was happy with that performance, it was similar to how we played early in the year (missing shot after shot after shot). The good news is that Auburn had two last second 3 pointers and we still won, very good sign that the team was getting better.

Looking forward to tomorrow night, hoping for a well played game.
