A lot has changed since the last time we met. We had no Liam Robbins and totally got exposed on the interior both on defense and allowing 2nd and 3rd chances. For Vandy, getting Robbins back was huge but it was that and shortening the bench. We trimmed the rotation and defined some roles.

Two guys who had a huge part in a lot of losing have finally been placed in lesser roles (Jordan Wright and Myles Stute). Both of these guys always needed to be role players and after a lot of losing, Stack finally made the changes.

I also think Stack may have gotten an ultimatum (get your act together or you’re gone). Primarily, Filet Manjon and Liam Robbins have been playing at a high level on both ends of the floor.

UK has also turned it around!

What has been the biggest difference in UK’s turnaround?

Looking forward to the game at Rupp Wednesday night.

Should be an interesting game and fun to watch. Can't wait to see what Stack wears. If you guys could hold off playing really good till the SECT I would appreciate it ,you wouldn't want to spoil our Senior Day(assuming we have a senior)

How we try to play Robbins will be interesting. I look for both teams to put up several points. I think Livingston and Toppin will be X factors for us, one of them needs to put up 15+

I saw jordan wright only played 5 minutes yesterday.

That said if you guys play the other 2 sub 6ft guards a ton of minutes against us you might be in trouble. Reeves and Wallace have been playing really well against smaller back courts all season. It’s big physical back courts we struggle against.

I do expect Liam Robbins to put up a better fight than Johni Broome however.

Robbins has changed a lot for you guys for sure, I didn’t watch but how did you all lose to LSU, if you had won that you might be making a late season run for a tourney bid maybe. But I expect the same game vandy plays Kentucky at rupp everytime. They always play Kentucky at rupp better than they do in memorial and wouldn’t be surprised if vandy is up at halftime, but I expect Kentucky to pull through and win a close game

How did you guys lose to LSU?

1) Our star point guard, Ezra “Filet” Manjon, picked up 2 fouls in the first 2 minutes of the game (Refs were awful).

2) KJ Williams went off for 35 and 10

3) Other scrub players for LSU had great games.

LSU scored 84, they would have beaten most teams in the SEC that night.

Hope your guy gets 2 quick fouls in Rupp too. And good luck.

Hate it for Jordan Wright. He hasn’t taken his reduced role well and pretty much quit on his teammates last night. Hopefully he has a change of heart for the rest of the season.

We will definitely play the two under 6 foot guards (Filet Manjon and Trey Thomas). We have a really weird make up and Stack has done an amazing job getting this group to play great offensive basketball despite a very non traditional group.

Our best five are:

Filet Manjon (fast af pg)
Trey Thomas (combo guard (5’11)
Tyrin Lawrence (6’5 sg/sf)
Colin Smith (6’7 sf/pf)
Liam Robbins (7’1 sg)

Myles Stute (1 trick pony)
Jordan Wright (Swiss army)
QMB (c)

Paul Lewis (fr pg)

See my response to @Aike about losing at LSU.

Perfect storm.

I’m not buying your 3rd statement. He just got a contract extension. He holds all the cards , for more than one reason. What is Vandys deal with loving UNC guys anyway?Fogler, Stallings, Stackhouse.

Filet Manjon? If I'm not mistaken, that's the nephew of our very own Col. Angus.

What happened to the big kid that played like Joel Embiid against us in Nashville? He was the only Vandy player who played well in that game, but it doesn't look like he has played in the last few games. Think he scored more points in that game than he had all season to that point, so might've just been a one-off performance but he flashed a lot of potential.

Primarily playing the starters all or most of the time. Our help defense is making it harder on easy baskets. Our rebounding and intensity is clicking at a high level. I think those type of things has helped the guys offensively.

The contract extension was for optics only ("look recruits, he'll be here forever").

Funny connection with UNC, never thought of that.

Malik Dia - true freshman from Nashville (Ensworth), he's got a lot of upside. Struggles in Stack's sets and on defense and hasn't played since Liam returned from injury 7 games ago.

I really hope Dia stays, he has the potential to be a big time offensive player, has to learn the rest of the game.

I am actually nervous about this game.

So much on the line.

We could lose our double bye, OR at least get relegated to 4th place and have to face Bama one round earlier in the semis.

Need to take care of business on our home floor and head into Arkansas playing with house money.

Vandys won 6 of 7 so vastly improved. Hard to believe the one lost is @LSU after beating FL twice, once with Casselton. AUB and TN. As long as we don't overlook them with @ARK looming and play like the other day should be fine.

They probably eoukd have made the tourney had they not started off so badly. Hell they have a win over ACC 1st place Pitt too and 3 Quad 1 wins. That's more than Dook.😂😂😂
