Finally a foul after they have mugged us the whole game. 4:15 left in Q2 before it is called.

We have stayed close early in the game unlike last time when we had to stage a big but ultimately coming up short, rally. Nelp seems to be resting players more in the first half, Hill and Cartwright got quite a bit of rest. Hopefully we will wear them down in the second half.

Hard for us to play against a team as well as the officials. When the roadragers got their last 3 point shot their linebacker fouled us twice prior to the shot and neither were called.

Didn’t age well. Not sure labeling her as the best major sports coach currently at TU says a lot. Her team is now under .500 and were outscored 17-9 in the 4th quarter tonight

I think Nelp is a very good Coach. She lost one of the top 5 women’s players in school history and has dealt with injuries which kept several players out of games this year. I think the team will get better as the year goes on and could pull a Rice type of surprise in the conference tournament. We need more height and depth in the post.

I didn’t say she wasn’t better than those coaches. She’s definitely better than Konkol. Remains to be seen if she’s better than Lamb. I think she’s a good coach. I don’t believe she’s a great coach….not yet at least. She’s going to need to win a conference ship and a few NCAA tourney games to be worthy of your “great” characterization

I agree but we will see more as she develops and until lamb does as well as her she is the best I hope lamb gets our football turned around our school will get few fans playing fcs against nsu and uco in their fcs conference

One final point about the women’s team - even in a loss they are fun to watch and rarely out of the game in the 4th QTR.

Konkol and Nelp both lost their best players and did not replace them with equal replacements thus sub .500 seasons for both. If you are not a good coach, charismatic, and have a great donor supply of NIL money, then you can't get quality replacements for portal losses.

Yep, she is a better coach than Konkol and still sub .500, just like him.
