We often aren’t even shooting it. We just kind of throw the ball at the backboard.

Ohhh. Missed the first few minutes of the game. I think that whole protecting a player with 2 fouls in the first half thing is really stupid.
When your starters score a total of 5 points in the first half, you’re probably lucky to only be down by 10 points at halftime.
I have watched a game and a half now and I see a group of players giving full effort but still several months away from being a "team". When you don't have McDonald's All American talent levels you need a practiced team to be successful. I like this group of players and I hope they can gel together over the next few months and make a late charge towards the end of the season.
This is were the reduced practice times makes it harder on the non-Power NCAA schools. The 1999 team had some new players, but they practiced with the coaches a whole lot more than is allowed now.
